Auto Expo Ends Today

The 10th Auto Expo being organized at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi ends today at 7 pm. The event sprawled over 1.4 lakhs sq meters with an estimated 1.8 million visitors expected, the Delhi Auto Expo is the biggest show in the country in terms of attendance. With around 2,100 participants from 30 countries, the show witnessed the unveiling of 50 products out of which 10 were international. With several lakhs of people visiting the expo everyday, this year's auto expo is the biggest ever.

Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500

Royal Enfield has set a symbol of macho pride, launching a new ravishing model was showcased in two colors at the 2010 Auto Expo. The style vocabulary and its appearance truly distinguish it from other motorcycles on the market. The Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500 is the most technologically sophisticated Bullet. Featuring a fuel injected, 499cc, single cylinder "Unitary Construction Engine" four stroke engine. Yamaha launches superbike 2010 YZF-R1 at Auto Expo

Japanese bike giant Yamaha flaunted the 2010 model of the YZF-R1 bike at the week-long Auto Expo, priced at Rs 12.5 lakh, and be available in white and red color as a part of special edition. FZF -R1 fits the top rank of super bikes and is powered by 998cc engine. This bike has already obtained a lot of accolades for its performance across the globe and enjoys incredible fan-following in India as well.

VW showcases the Phaeton at the Auto Expo

Volkswagen displayed Phaeton today at the Auto Expo 2010. This handcrafted luxury is equipped with a robust 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine that gives an output of 280 HP @ 6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 370 Nm @ 3500 rpm. The Volkswagen Phaeton has a 6 Speed tiptronic gearbox and 17 inch Alloy wheels. This flagship product of Volkswagen is the first entry of the automaker in the high-end luxury segment in India. Sharukh unveiled Hyundai i10 Electric at the Auto Expo Today

Brand Ambassador of Hyundai i10 - Actor ShahRukh Khan unveiled the Hyundai i10 electric at the Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi today. This latest launch Hyundai i10 electric comes with power in a 16kWh Lithium-ion polymer battery and drive is transmitted with the help of a 49kWh motor. This electric car has a driving range of 160km on a full charge for which the 220V wall socket would take 5 hours.

Renault Displays Twizy ZE Concept

The zero-emission electric car - Twizy ZE concept from French auto maker Renault has been unveiled at the Auto Expo 2010. This car was unveiled by Shiela Dikshit- the Chief Minister of Delhi at the inauguration ceremony of the Delhi Auto Expo 2010. Renault has plans to produce up to 500,000 units of its electric vehicles (EV) globally by 2014. Twizy, a two seater has a single charge mileage of 100 kilometers. Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit said: "I do hope when it (Twizy) will go into production India will become customer of this." Twizy ZE is on display at the Auto Expo 2010.

Aria – Tata Motors' New MPV Launched at the Auto Expo

India's leading automaker, Tata Motors has launched 'Arai' - its first Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV). Tata Aria is a seven seater that has the features of a luxury sedan and a Sports Utility vehicle. Unveiled on the first day of Auto Expo 2010, this MPV will be launched in the second quarter of this year. Tata Aria will powered by the 2.2 litre common rail engine. Tata Aria is expected to be priced around Rs 7-10 lakhs.

The new small car 'Etios' is here. Toyota Kirloskar has unveiled its concept car at the Auto Expo 2010 that begins today. The latest launched Toyota 'Etios' will be available in two models that are Etios hatchback that comes with 1.2-litre petrol engine and Etios sedan that has a 1.5-litre petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki plans to unveil its first multi purpose vehicle MPV - Maruti Eeco at the upcoming auto show 2010. This upcoming model from India's largest and most favourite automaker will be an entry level vehicle. Maruti Eeco comes with advanced petrol engine that satisfies the BSIV emission norms. This upcoming model will be available in an option of 5 seater and 7 seater. It is expected that Maruti Eeco will be priced between Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 lacs.
