The rising demand of Mahindra SUV, Mahindra & Mahindra is ramping up the capacity from 2,500 units to 3,500 units per month from January of 2013 at its Nashik plant. Pravin Shah, chief executive, automotive, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “The booking number will strengthens our belief that the Quanto will create a new category within the SUV segment with its unique value proposition. We are confident of meeting the demand and we are ramping up capacity towards the same.”
“The Quanto has received over 10,000 bookings in a span of 2 months , which strengthens our belief that the Quanto will create a new category within the SUV segment with its unique value proposition. We are confident of meeting the demand for the Quanto and are in the process of ramping up our production capacity at Nashik towards the same,” he added.
Mahindra Quanto is the first compact SUV from the M&M’s stable and is priced at Rs 5.82 lakh to 7.36 lakh.
In less than 2 month of its launch, the Mahindra Quanto has generated a buzz within digital media as well as traditional media. With Quanto, M&M has grown by 15-20% within 2 month with sales of 1,58,000 units and it has overtaked Tata Motors as the 3rd largest automobile maker in India.
