Yamaha Fazer 8 and 2011 FZ8 Set to Debut in Canada – India Waiting!

After getting an overwhelming response in the European market, Yamaha Motor, the master two wheeler manufacturer, is now all set to unveil its FZ8 and Yamaha Fazer 8 models in Canada. The motorcycles, though is going to be be available without ABS unlike their European counterparts, are expected to create a similar impact in the US automobile market.

Both Yamaha Fazer 8 and 2011 FZ8 motorbikes are powered by a 779cc liquid cooled 16-valve inline 4 engine that is competent of producing a maximum power of 105 hp @ 10000 rpm with a maximum torque of 60.5 ft-lb. @ 8000 rpm. The six-speed transmission of the brand new Fazer uses a “stacked” 3-axis gearbox.
2011 Yamaha FZ8

The all new FZ8 and Fazer 8 offer similar ergonomics, and the characteristic aluminum twin spar is right away inspired by that of the FZ1. The new bikes use 43mm Kayaba inverted forks with 5.1 inches of travel, and their ear mono-cross suspension offer a nine-way pre-load adjustment – isn't that great!

Coming to other technical specifications and features, Fazer 8 has a wet weight of 475.2 lb, while 2011 FZ8 weighs 466.4 lb. The Fazer 8 has been stylistically upgraded with “cat-eye” dual lights in a half fairing with a wide windshield. The FZ8, on the other hand, has been equipped with a single headlight with a small bikini fairing.

The FZ8 will be available in Metallic Black, whereas one can make a choice between Metallic Black and Vivid Purplish Blue while going for Fazer 8.

In the wake of the recent boom in Indian auto market, especially in the two wheeler section, it will be a great idea if Yamaha Motor launches the two bikes in the country soon. With stylized looks and great pricing, both Yamaha Fazer 8 and 2011 FZ8 will be big hits among new age bikers.
