REVIEW : Mind Blowing Car!
I got my Chevy Optra Magnum delivered last week, and have already done some
600 or so km..
The car rocks! Add to that, the LT model cost me just 10.60 lakhs, as the
GM offered me a free loyalty bonus of 1 lakh INR, since I had an Opel Corsa
earlier.. I sold my Corsa later for 1.15, so the new Magnum LT cost me just
around 9.45 lakhs!
Talk about value for money!
My experience with the car has been great!
I took the Sparkling Diamond colour, which cost some 9650 extra, but it
looks awesome..
The car, no need to mention, is a POWER MONSTER! It easily beats the Skoda
Octavia, head on.
Its pickup rivals most petrol cars in its range, and the new 2009 Optra has
an improved steering, which is extremely smooth.
The braking too, is awesome! I was able to stop the car from 120 much
quicker than the Octavia, which has only disc brakes in the front.
The headlamps are not very powerful, especially during night driving on
highways, but using the fog lamps solves the issue, as the fog lamps are
very powerful. The car looks awesome in the night, when fog lamps are on, as
it lights up the entire bumper grill, giving the car an awesome look!
The leather seats, on my LT are very comfy, driving in rear is very
comfortable, on highways, rear is even more comfortable than front!
This is because of a unique feature on the Magnum, which Skoda and most
cars lack - The AWIS, or All-Wheel-Independant-Suspension, which makes
driving superb! You hardly feel potholes!
Then again, the car's Automatic Climate Control, is powerful, doesnt cause
headaches, as I sometimes felt in the Octavia, and effectively cools the
Back also!
Driving is the BEST part of this Beauty!
Awesome acceleration, I could overtake a 80km/h KSRTC bus in the 2nd Gear!
Now thats a pretty good achievement for any car, especially on bad kerala
roads.
I havent started checking mileage seriously, as it is just a week old, but
I feel Im getting around 11km/l, which isnt that good.
My friends get 13-14 in city and 16+ on highways..
It should improve after the 1st Service..
Anyway, this Car is AWESOME! In almost ALL aspects! I would recommend it,
seriously, to everyone who has long highway runs, as the car simply ROCKS on
highways!
The LT version would be the best bet, as it is definitely worth the 1 lakh
INR extra..

REVIEW : I just booked a Chevy Optra Magnum LT, sparkling diamond
colour.
The car is fantastic, its engine superb, and torque and acceleration Mind
Blowing. However, though it is such a Sturdy and impressive car, it has a
lot of acceptance to gain, from the Indian Market.
My first response on seeing the car was like.. This car has no chance
against a Civic or Octy.. When I took the car for a spin, everything
changed! Its mind blowing response, and feel, was as good as any petrol
engine in the market! The car is awesome in other aspects also.
Its luxury, in LT variant, is unmatched in any car of the same price. Rich
leather seats, An awesome 2 din Clarion 6cd changer, Auto Climate Control,
etc, are some of the new features on the 2009 Magnum...
This Car Is Definitely Worth The Money. If you go for it, preferably take
the LT variant, as it has a lot of features, for the extra 1 lakh..
Also, the Sparkling Diamond colour, which costs some 9k extra, is really
good, with 3 coat paint, and it gives the car a One-of-its-class look.
Otherwise, go for black or Cashmere colours.

REVIEW : Optra magnum lt tcdi is a worthy car being 12.5 lacs.Its
punch in d pick up is uncomparable with any of d cars of that particular
segment, octavia,laura,corolla n even honda civic i believe........

REVIEW : Its a wonderful car. It has more power than laura or
octavia and price is still less..its drive is a comfortable one. I am a
quite satisfied customer after owing it..moreover it has a rich luxury
looks.

REVIEW : Chevrolet optra magnum 2.0 litre has been fantastic, it is
a dream car, since the equivalent petrol version does not give a nice
average ,so ,diesel version will really bring relief rather provide more
power. Pick up has been brilliant, interiors have also been immpresive.
