The world got the first glimpse of the Chevrolet Orlando MUV concept car at the Paris Motor Show in 2008. With it's launch expected in India during early 2011, the seven seater concept based on the Chevrolet Cruz has already started making waves in India with promises of some great power, performance and utility.

The Chevrolet Orlando falls in the C segment category of cars and is a 4-door mini-van with a tall but compact built. The 2011 Orlando Multi Utility Vehicle (MPV) comes with three engine options: a 1.8-liter petrol engine and two 2.0 liter diesel engines. The petrol engine has been engineered to deliver an output of 141-hp and the diesel engines are designed to generate 131hp or 163hp. All the three engine variants are extremely fuel-efficient and offer plenty of power and acceleration. It has both automatic and manual six-speed transmission options.

The Chevrolet Orlando is one of Chevrolet’s very bold and brawny looking car built on a robust chassis and 16,17 or 18 inch wheels. It holds a seating capacity of seven people and has three rows of seats. This MPV has a very wide inner space and extremely striking interiors.

The Chevrolet Orlando comes with variety of features that enhance the overall comfort levels of this family wagon. These features include AC with climate control, remote central locking, power steering, both side electric door mirrors, power windows, rear wiper and armrests and folding rear seats.

Loaded with various safety features that include 5 rear seat belts, the Chevrolet Orlando will feature 6 airbags, parking sensors, fog lamps and rear defogger. Chevrolet has supplied body color bumpers for this model and it has a luggage capacity of 22.3 cu. ft. and maximum cargo capacity of 64 ft.

The Chevrolet Orlando is an easy to handle car with minivan driving characteristics, punch of crossover styling and an Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) like looks. It is expected to be launched in India in mid 2011 and will carry a very affordable price tag of approximately Rs. 10 lacs. It will be available in a variety of blue and white shades.
