REVIEW : Cielo is the best car till today. Provides maximum comfort. the only problem is the fuel efficiency thats why i got my 96 model cielo gle converted to a diesel car by getting the engine replaced with toyota 1N turbo engine. Its marvelous to drive this car. even the spares is not a problem. the only reason people find the parts costly is due to the reason that these days we can get a cielo at very cheap rates but friends don't forget that we own a luxury car n we r paying for the spares of a sedan.

REVIEW : Thanks Mr. Ajay Sharma for your post. After reading several reviews on Cielo, I too bought a 1999 GLX Silver model for Rs. 75,000/-. This is the second time I have bought a Cielo. This one was a CNG variant, which I later got removed. Since last four months I have spent another 75k on it and got almost everything replaced right from Engine, petrol tank, AC-compressor to exhaust. Most of the original damage was done by CNG itself and I strongly recommend all petrol enthusiast, not to go for CNG fitted cars if they plan to buy one. Well, spares was always a challenge but I did manage to link-up 2-3 sources in Delhi, who help me out with parts, which I need on a regular basis. For Cielo Service, you can contact Super Parts Petrol Pump in South Extension II. They arrange for original parts and have a good backup of mechanics too. For second hand parts you can contact Mr. Bunty Sanju on 09810684581, who has his shop in the junk market in Mayapuri, New Delhi. He's one good soul, who goes out of his way to arrange for rare parts. The third contact is of Mr. Jayesh who has his spares shop in Old Delhi in Kashmere Gate. His contact numbers are Mobile: 09810024375 and Landline: 011 23962125 Effectively despite of spending 75k additional on this car, I believe this is one of the best wheels available.

REVIEW : I had posted my reviews earlier too but after reading Kevin Ajay's remarks, I wish to request you all to mail to tim.ferasin@gmai.com ( an official of GM Cielo) to revive the parts in India. Car is fantastic only thing one should be able to afford the running expenses. I have this car with me for nearly ten years. I have travelled on roughs as well as on country sides. Never been into a problem. I admire the car and it has been a pleasure running it. I intend to maintain it as long as possible. I noticed couple of cielo's at the garrage which have clocked nearly 3 lac KM and still doing great. I can write a small book on my experiences on this machine.

REVIEW : I had earlier posted comments on 13.03.2007. Since then a lot of people have contacted me by email to enquire about spares for Cielo/Matiz. I wish to share the info that GM-Daewoo (YES, there is a company by this name) is actually considering again selling spares for Daewoo cars in India, but they are not sure if there is sufficient demand here. I have learnt that a gentleman by name of Mr. Timothy Ferasin, who is Director, Portfolio & Growth Strategy Division of GM-Daewoo, in Korea, was recently here in Delhi. I would like to request ALL you Daewoo Fans and Fanatics (like me), and i KNOW that there are lots like us, to send e mails to Mr. Timothy at his mail id: tim.ferasin@gm.com requesting him to start selling genuine Daewoo spares in Delhi, and India again, at the earliest, as there are thousands and thousands of Daewoo car owners and car lovers here who are suffering by being loyal to Daewoo, and are forced either to ditch their ! beloved cars, or to pay a king's ransom for dubious spares, which are likely to be local. If all of us Daewoo car lovers start e mailing them, then its quite likely that they will start selling these genuine spares in India, and New Delhi again, because they do have a lot of spares lying with them in Korea and other places, and by selling them they will not only have satisfied customers, but also rebuild the company's damaged image, AND make a LOT OF MONEY for the company, in the bargain, too! SO, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE! E MAIL THIS gentleman with your requests as I have suggested, cross ur fingers, and pray for a miracle to happen! It really may, u know, if we all put our efforts into it! Come on, Guys, lets do it, for all our beloved Cielos and Matiz's and Nexias! I'm counting on all u guys!

REVIEW : My cielo i bought from a friend but what i actually got was a deal and a half!! ceilo is a really great car- just let down in the industry by unworthy mechanics. My ceilo is automatic and just 19000 kms on it - it was sitting pretty in a farm house in bangalore - i drove it down to Bombay and then after a year drove it back to bangalore after my transfer - its just a great car. A/C is really cool and it wouldnt budge at a 140 kms an hour on the pune mumbai highway! The cream is - it still had the original kumo tyres and at 100 miles an hour near kolhapur the front left tyre burst but i could maintain a straight line with no effort- thats how safe this is !! Its a shame people dont know about this car !

REVIEW : I have a 96 Cielo GL sedan. Got it for a pretty good deal, and as most other people was not sure how the car is gonna turn out. To my surprise I've owned this car since last 2 years now, and there is hardly any point to complain about. The performance is excellent, whether in city or on freeways (highways). Its pretty economical to run, and gives fantastic smooth ride even at high speeds, you feel you are simply cruising along. Toyota, Honda and other reputed makers good car, but that does not mean Daewoo is bad in anyway. If you get a good deal with a good maintenance history Cielo, go for it without any second thoughts. You can't complain with this baby.

REVIEW : I purchased a 98 Sept model Cielo GLE when it had hardky run 13000km, in 2004 August. Now its run almost 58000km. I'm in love with it! The seating is comfortable, AC is fabulous, room is spacious, Boot (dicky) is HUGE, looks really sleek, like a shark, engine sound is beautiful, like a Panther's growl, the pick up is terrific, hardly any maintenance required. I use Valvoline engine oil costing Rs 720 per 4 litres, get it serviced EVERY 5000km religiously. Only the best and original parts. But only thing i've replaced so far is a couple of hose pipes (Vacuum pipe etc) Alternmator belt and timing belt. Had problems with the plug cords though, need replacing every 5 or 6 months. Parts are available at Kashmere Gtae market near ISBT in Delhi. U may contact Mr. Jayesh at 9810024375 or shop no at 011-23962125. He's reasonably priced, mostly original spares. Do tell him about me. E mail me if any further help is required. Love my Cielo. Wish it would restart production! Want to buy! a Matiz. If any body wants to sell a Matiz in good condition at Delhi, with Delhi Number, pl e mail me.

REVIEW : I have a 96 model cielo. i am satisfied with its perfomance, especially on highways. well the mileage is a bit trouble. It gives me 13 in the hways and 10 within the city. The service is offered in some specialised workshops only,so the price of spare parts are a little bit high. anyway it doesnt matter when its price is now very less. A well maintained cielo will cost a maximum of 1 lakh. So spending some more money will make it as an asset

REVIEW : I feel it is the best car in the C segment. As said by others it has a very powerful AC. Apart from that it has a lot of features which even the present day cars lack. It has a collapsiable steering, crumple zones, 3 stage bumpers, fog lights, defogger, side impact bars, tachometer etc just to name a few. I am concerned only about the future. Becos DMIL is on a cliff hanger. I luv my car for every thing. The top speed i have touched is 150kms. I feel if the driver is good we can challenge any car. Tell me what do u get extra in a lancer or honda other than the brand name and ofcourse a more peppy engine. The looks of the car are truly amazing.

REVIEW : I bought a second hand cielo in 2000 its a 96 model, there is no denying that this car is one of the best cars in the c segment. the airconditioning is outstanding and the car still handles like a dream, i was sceptical about buying a second hand cielo as i had heard about the high priced spares and low milage. After installing CNG in the car im getting a milage of 15 km per litre....and as far as the spares are concerned i havent had much of a problem, but for the occasional fuse or the relays packing up .....all in all it was a good buy and im happy that i decided on the cielo.

REVIEW : Cielo is now not in the market. But it goes without saying that it remains one of the most beautiful cars on the Indian road. It is an extremely comfortable car. Its Air Conditioner works amazingly. Besides, Cielo automatic is an easy drive vehicle, which gives you ultimate pleasure even on crowded streets of India. Notwithstanding its mileage factor, Cielo is really a good buy worth betting even on a used car. Low mileage factor can be managed by putting it on CNG.

REVIEW : Cielo is one of the best cars on Indian Roads. It has all features that a C-segment car has.Infact if you compare cars like Honda,Lancer...agreed these cars a little bit better in driving, but at the end, Cielo is affordable, with more features that the previous 2 cars and also the best aircon in India. Im proud to be the owner of 2 Cielo's.
