REVIEW : I own a Ford escort 1.8D (1997),it really gives me a
pleasure to own this car. Nice interiors,spacious rear panel. Good mileage
of 20 km/Lit on highways. Good suspension and less jerks on road. Highly
Luxurious,smooth drive and power pickup. i recommend this car. But i have
not seen any other escort models while on driving away from home. Its a fine
and best in class of sedan models. Looks very long and broad like Mercedes
and BMW sedans. Proud to be a owner of this Ford escort.

REVIEW :I am very happy to have the ford brand in india. I owned
second hand ford Escort 1996 model. So far i drived nearly 10,000 kms. The
feel i get from ford escort can't compare with any car. No other car is near
to it. comfort level is extremely high. I would love to be a ford brand
ambassador.

REVIEW : I am having a 1997 1.6 LXX ford escort. I am very happy
with the comfort level and mileage, getting 10 kmpl in city and 14 in
highways without ac. But if a mechanical problem comes you are in trouble...
because the ford service centers are too greedy and the mechanics are
pathetic. I got a leak in my power steering and i went to one service center
in Banargatta road and that guy said they don't have spares and was forcing
me to go to his friends workshop where i will be able to repair for 22 to
25k. Then i went to Metro ford and they have estimated rs 5000 to repair,
sad, i fixed an appointment for next Sunday and left. Next day fortunately i
saw one workshop near kairaly hotel near koramangala forum mall and i show
it to them. Those smart guys found it is just because of the rubber gasket
and repaired it in half an hour. Also my coolant hose was in a bad shape,
and i was unable to change that because of availability problem of spares,
they got the spare for me within 1 hour! on a Sunday evening when as
far as i know all shops in Bangalore will be closed. I am extreamly happy
with their service and want to share this.

REVIEW : I disagree with spare parts not available, i bought ford
escort diesel and all parts are available in mount road, madras, it gives
city mileage of 15 kmpl and 19 kmpl on highway. No issues for me for the
last 2 years as I bought second hand.

REVIEW : I m having a ford escort. I want to do the complete wiring
as i am in jamnagar gujarat, none of the guys touches my car. You will have
to open the ford station every where. I am happy to use your car but because
of your working station in rajkot and not in jamnagar so I am suffering a

REVIEW : My ford escort diesel 1.8 is excellent , i bought it second
hand and it is giving me good value for money ,i havent seen a garage in the
last 1 year and also i travel a lot and it gives good mileage and just
recently i had gone to mahad and the person sitting next to me said after
the drive that it felt like he was sitting in a skoda , no vibrations
no noise and the ac was also excellent.A strudy car on the road compared to
the santros , esteems , the boot space is also huge.

REVIEW : I have a Ford Escort 1.6V, There was a Mechanical problem
with my car and i had to take the car to the Service center (Metro Ford), I
left the car for service now they say that the CFI Unit is not working, i
said go ahead with the service now they say that the part is not available
any were in India. The car is 9 Years Old and just Bcoz of the CFI Unit i
have to dump the car...Now decided not to buy Ford Car in future... had high
Hopes on Ford.

For change of very small part, dealer ask me to bring your car at our

REVIEW : I got my silver ford Escort (flair) on 3rd april. I have
driven 4000 Km till now. The driving experience is quiet good.It is very
comfortable car.But very expensive.It has given average 9kml in city &
12kml on highways.There is no other problem with the car.If "fuel
economy" does'nt matter for you,go for it & enjoy mini josh
machine.

REVIEW : Hi, I have Ford 1.6 ZXI that i bought in Nov 2005. Its a
very good car at present with good milege around 11-12.5 in city without AC
an with AC it will give u 11, on highways it will give u around 14. I have
no issues as per now but i saw some comments abt this car saying that its a
bad car etc etc i dont knw why they have written. Any way they might have
problem. But for me its a very good car.

REVIEW : I have a ford 1.8 diesel. It was a pleasure untill 45,000
KM. After that it is a drain on you- a white elephant.The AC gives trouble
soon. A driving pleasure but I will never go again for this car...my friends
who had it for more than three years also say that they will never go for it
again. Ford India should do something to reduce the maintenance cost.

REVIEW : Ford as a car has the bad and good points but let me share
my experience. I have a 2000 1.3 CLXI model. The car suddenly started giving
problem with the valves where the push rods started jumping off, stalling
the car.The heads had to be decarbonised. The ford workshops are pathetic
most of the places and very difficult to get spares even if you want it to
be serviced from someone outside.

REVIEW : I have a Ford Escort 1.6 ZXI. The car is good but I had to
put nagwheels and wider tyres to compensate the braking issues Ford Escort
is born with you.The spares are very expensive and you get spares only
through the dealer and the dealer UTILISES you to the MAXIMUM.If you are in
Bangalore,I will NEVER EVER recommend you to buy Ford as the ONLY 2 dealers
in Bangalore SUCK,they are absolutely pathetic ,they ROB and CHEAT their
customers(service Section). The service guys are so bad and unproffesional,I
would be much more confident to give my car to a local autorikshaw mechanic.
They have no mercy on your car and they treat your car like their enemy and
CHEAT with all their wicked skills and they take days to resolve any
technical issue.I drive all across south India and been to other dealers as
well,but there is no place like Bangalore ,both Metro Ford and Cauvery Cheat
and ROB you to the Maximum.

REVIEW : I own a Ford Escort 1.8D..One of the worst cars in its
class..My car is just 9mths old & it has been more then 20 times to the
Ford service station & each time it has been with them for more then 2
to 3 days & Ford seems to do ntn about it..Ford might change the part
but be ready as the replaced part never lasts for more then a mth.. A very
BAD buy, i strongly recommend not to buy this car...
I do feel safe inside the car too.

REVIEW : I bought this car in 2000.Everything is fine abt my Escort
except the mileage which is hardly 8 Kms in city without A/C.Also the power
windows are always faulty.The dealer Cauvery Ford is not only bad but its
the worst I have ever seen.People cheat a lot here.Over all the car is good
as far as stability and looks are concerned,the A/C is powerful,the pickup
is excellent.

REVIEW : The car is overall a good package but i found following
draw backs
1. the body of car is not strong enough. in fact it could dent by stong
hand pressure.
2. problem of servicing persisting as one does not find service centres in
medium cities.
the car runs fine. it is returning with 18 KM on high way (80-110 speed)
and 10-11 KM in city with AC ON. the pick up is pathetic with AC on at low
speeds but picks up after 60 KPH, then their is no stopping. i drove it upto
155 KPH and their was no vibration and noise.
recommended but seems ford is not at all enthusiastic after fiesta
introduction.
