REVIEW : Bought Fiesta SXI in Sept 2006. Have taken it to Badrinath, Katra, Rohtang Pass twice and covered almost all the hills of Uttrakhand. Never gave travel except some engine stalls which goes away after some time. It is such a pleasure to drive this machine. Great handling and great control at curves. You feel confident when driving. Since it is petrol version it is not very fuel efficient. Getting only 10 per liter in city now. used to get around 12 when new. Highway mileage is 15 KMPL. Other disadvantage with classic fiesta is less ground clearance.
Overall very much satisfied with the buy.

REVIEW : To start of with , i read quite a few bad reviews about people complaining about the service. I went to Wasan Ford in Chembur , Mumbai to cross check. Woooooaaaaa .. What an amazing service. ! Being my first ford car, i had my fears, my doubts, my anxieties etc..but every single question was answered with confidence and honesty....Even a few bad points were mentioned to me so that i dont feel cheated later as i was comparing new Fiesta vs new verna. I dont want to start comparing and convincing people to buy Fiesta. I made my choice on only one note: Just wrote down 6 points unique to Top model Fiesta and Verna:
Lets start with Verna :
1) Looks better : 10/10
2) 1.6 lt engine
3) Rear view camera
4) good resale
5) Lot of service centers across India
6) Bad Handling at high speeds
Fiesta :
1) Pull Drift Technology
2) Voice Commands
3) Amazing Handling
4)Criuse Control
5) Engine thoh 1.5 feels more powerful than verna
6) better Mileage than Verna
7) Priced Higher
8) Looks 9/10
9) May be a bit less resale value..( but damn i dont care abt resale as long as i have hassle free 5 years) And the list went on and on for Fiesta.. finally after considering all the points I settled for Fiesta Titanium + and couldnt have been happier. I feel people who complain about service center problems should understand one thing: it all depends on your relation with the center. I asked for a testdrive around 13 times. Comparing every damn thing.. Not a single hitch from the dealer. Dealer helped me with getting finance done..I m really happy with Wasan Ford Chembur and would like to thank Mr. Imran and Mr.Rajesh Rupani ( GM) for being so patient with me. Also , with regards to no of service centers across India , ford has grown tremendously in the past 3 years. So dont worry about other company dealers scaring you about Ford reach in India..

REVIEW : I agree with Cyril, Rahul, purushotham , Satya. Especially Purshotham. The quality of Ford fiesta is extremely bad post the warranty period. The car completed 2 years in Dec 2010 and our warranty also ended there. Start the new year and we have been financially hit by an amount of Rs. 25000 already as the A/c was not working and the suspensions have gone bad. Now the car stops every now and then as the battery has grown weak. When we tried to speak to the service people they started putting the blame on our style of maintenence and usage and were quite rude. I recommend that one should not buy a ford fiesta for its poor quality, high maintenence cost and equally bad service. It was our wrong decision to go away from our very own Indian Maruti and invest in an American Ford.

REVIEW : Hi I bought Ford Fiesta 1.4 EXI in June-2006. Now it is 3+ years and Engine pickup has taken a beating. It struggles to climb a small elevation. The mileage is very bad at just 8 Kms in City and 10 on Highways with AC all the time. Suspension was very poor from day one. Overall my experience with Ford Fiesta was average and happy. The only +point is the good look from outside. Interiors are poor.

REVIEW : I have been driving Ford Fiesta ZXI Duratorq Diesel since July 2006, covering 42000 KMS with my wife and kid. It has seen all kinds of roads Hills, Valleys, Ghats, Metros and Rural and all kinds of weathers in days and nights.

Not even a single problem so far even after than 39 months it looks brand new and just out of the showroom with just regular services at a reasonable costs.

It just gives >22Kms on the highways and 17 to 18 kms in Chennai with average use of AC.

Whenever see/think/touch this car -I am speech less and I admire. Very very trusted.

Kudos to Ford and its technology.

REVIEW : I have bought my fiesta 1.4 Zxi petrol in the month of May-07. Intially i was happy about the car, But later i came to knwo that the mileage is just 10 -11 Km even in Highways. Suspension is the cheapest in ford fiesta. even if small carck is there in road, we feel that, m-800 is much much better than this in terms of suspension...Again Wiper blade- i have changed 5 times in the last one and half year.....guys pls dont go for ford without thinking twice.... you wont even feel that you are sitting in a 8 lakhs rupees car......

So before buying the car check and then purchase. The service centers in Hyderabad are not able to resolve my car problem. This type of infrastructure. So improvement is needed in this area.

REVIEW : We have purchased Ford Fiesta CRDi in Feb 2006, the mileage of the car is good, its comfortable, the inside space is good enough , the interior of the car is nice but there are some drawback of this car.
  1. A.C is very troublesome,we have to send it to service centers in every 3 months.
  2. Battery of the car is made by ford and is of very bad quality,we have to replace it within a year.
  3. Front tyres are getting flat with correct allinment
  4. Spear Parts are not available in the market ,even service centers takes time.
  5. There is only one service center in kolkata and whatever estimate they give, you have to agree on that.

REVIEW : I bought my 1.6ltr Ford Fiesta 12 months ago and i have not looked back since. the fuel economy is fantastic while still having enough get upand go to it. The ride is very smooth and the steering is fantastic. For someone like me who is over 6 feet tall there is still plenty of head room available. The car performs extremly well on long distances with plenty of power to over take on the highway.

REVIEW : I have a 1.4 diesel sxi and is definitely an excellent car. At times i face power crunch when required in emergency overtaking in 2nd gear. suspension is definitely much poor compared even to my 14 year old maruti 1000 which sailed smoothly on pot holes even with old suspensions. The 6 cd changer is a horrible looking gear for a 8 lakh car.

REVIEW : Great Car to drive, with performance and features, Great Power, good Features, Good Price. I have been driving fiesta 1.6 SXI for the past 5 months now. I purchased it from my friend Sailesh Gaikwad of Dombivli, who sold it to me after driving it for 3 months /1800 kms. Since then I have never regretted my decision at all. He purchased Skoda Rider, I got Fiesta for 80,000 less. My friend tells me that the many of the features of Fiesta are same as Skoda Rider the placement of light control switches and other visible stuff the keyless entry and the remote boot release. Probably Ford copied it from Skoda for fiesta.

The looks the drive, the safety is well above average and nearing excellence, while mileage is average, but then you cannot have everything.

Before owning Fiesta I have owned 800, Esteem, Palio, Uno and Santro. Fiesta inspires confidence while driving in the city and more so on the highways where you can overtake in complete control and very easily the Qualis's the Sumo's and the sundry cars, the hills and the ghats get eaten up without any burp. The taut feeling of the steering, and the car is very comforting. The head turning style and macho Mercedes like presence is really ego boosting.

During the rains the bonnet got stuck and no amount of pulling the bonnet release would open it. while having my third Free service done I asked the ford service guy to open it, he asked me to press lightly in the centre of the bonnet while he pulled the release and it opened.

But when I tried to do the same at home, to fill in the wiper fluid, I pressed on the bonnet center and it went in and depressed about 2 mm giving the smooth bonnet a ugly look, I took the car to Wasan Ford, Thane. Abdul Bhai of repair dept. pulled the tin out with some hydraulic machine and did some polishing / rubbing job whitout any cost. Excellent service, later the service people greased the release and the boot problem has not recurred yet.

During the rains the windows rear windows fog frequently, rear de-fogger helps. Rear wiper would have been excellent.I also find the clutch slightly hard till date. I informed service supervisior Kapil, of Wasan Motors Thane, that the clutch seems hard compared to Santro and others, he said it is hydraulic clutch you should not have problems. I told him can you lighten it slightly, he just looked at me strangely, probably the clutch does not have plus minus settings.

Also there is no need to do under carriage Anti-Rust treatment, before the rains during my second service. I checked the under of the car it is covered in thick rubber coating of some kind, the service guys told me there was no need to spend on Anti-rust, the car under is already treated with rubber coat. Also I had an accident, I had stopped at Mahim Church Signal, when this guy driving Swift hit the car from the back deforming the boot lid. The boot lid would'nt close, The Accident Department Manager, Abdul Bhai at Thane Wasan Ford, handled the whole issue of insurance paper work whitout me getting invloved. The repair work done by his dept was excellently done, as good a new.

Fiesta gives me mileage of 11.5 to 12 KMPL in mixed highway and city conditons, with AC on, for a performance and heavy/ safe car it is good mileage. The gearshift is short and sweet.
The engine is super silent, I have to watch the tachometer to see if the engine is running.
if you put on the AC the change in engine RPM is only about + 100 RPM which is good for mileage.

The AC is superb it cools the hot car standing in the sun in less then a minute.I am first of the Traffic signal at green light consistently for 5 months except once when a skoda overtook me after 1 KM., great power and excellent exhaust note when engine crosses 3000 RPM like a race car, with plush interiors and great looks.

The distance to empty meter is an excellent touch, and really makes filling up decisions easy to make. There are lots of nooks and cranies all over the doors, to hold bottles, toll slips, bills coins and other stuff. The boot is spacious it can easily hold luggage for the entire family's vacation.

I suggest you go for Fiesta 1.6 SXI with leather interiors, and six CD in dash and double din radio and all the aluminium-steel finishes all over the interior exterior of the car, the Alloy wheels, and the keyless entry (no need for auto-cop or other security gadgets), power windows, side mirrors. You will not have to spend any money on any other accessories.

The re-sale value I am afraid to find out, that is the only draw back I can anticipate. I understand the Fords have impression of expensive maintanence. the car I have purchased has 2 years extra warranty on electrics and other parts I am sure that will help me swallow the cost.

Albeit with sword of re-sale value hanging over your and my head, I advice you to go for Fiesta 1.6, go for 1.4 or diesel if you want better mileage and less power.

REVIEW : Fantastic car...drove the 1.6 SXI with ABS option. Great pickup and excellent ride and handling. The engine is very quiet and the steering is a little heavy but very precise and that gives us the confidence to drive the car at high speeds as it always has a 'stuck-to-the-road' feel. Very stable car and the braking with ABS is superb. Suspension if good too as I took the car on stretches where there is hardly any road surface....the suspension simply soaks up the bumps. Can recommend the car to anyone. The only issue that I see with the car might be the cost of spares and maintenance but I am not sure. I am told that Ford's service standards in India are not all that good. However, with new generation parts and technology, ownership experience of this car should be like a walk in the park !!

REVIEW : Very poor suspension and fuel efficiency...
One of my friend has bought the 1.4 model. the engine performance is OK but The suspension of the car is very poor. The car gets shaked by even smallest of path holes. FE in city is just 8-9 KM/l...its very low.
Interiors quality is also very cheap..sxi has got better interiors but then its price is almost same as City ZX so why will one go for sxi variant for such a small price difference....also the side seat and rear seats are very cramped...not comfortable at all....
and above all this...no need to mention FORD's poor after sales service.... overall a very poor package...not value for money at all...

REVIEW : I got my Ford fiesta 1.4 in Feb - have driven in mumbai only, still to hit highways. Great looks - make heads turn to you... has been very good to control even in slow moving mumai traffic. Great pickup, excellent breaking - specially at high speeds. Just got the first service done and performance has imporved after that. Ac is powerful and matches perfectly with engine loading..most of the time you have to look at the RPM meter to know if the engine is on or off (its so damn quite)

REVIEW : I bought 1.4 petrol variant on 17 Jan 06 .... Ok.. Good things first ... its a great package at this rate .. fantastic pick-up .. decent interiors ... most importantly very high "novelty value" ... now the bad part ...During 1st service, the dealer reported oil leakage ... some components were changed ... a week later I observed leakage again ... and to my horror they could not fix up the problem for 15 days !!! ultimately the entire engine has been replaced ... now its doing fine except for some strange "thud" sound from rear left ... I have decided to live with the sound coz Ford cant fix it ... bottom line ... never buy a FORD !!!

REVIEW : I bought my Ford Fiesta on january 6, 2006.
1. Within the first month of my buying the car, my car was making horrendous sounds from the steering wheel. After a lot of follow-up, a component of the steering wheel was changed.
2. Within a week, the sound came back. I got in touch with Harpreet Ford again, and after follow-up, another component of the steering wheel was changed.
t3. This time when the car came back, we realized that there was a crack in the windscreen.
4. I called up Harpreet Ford again. After another couple of visits, the windscreen was changed.
5. Within one week of that, the sound in the steering wheel is back again. I have informed Harpreet Ford once again.
I have no clue what else or how many of such instances are in store.
