Ford New Fiesta Hatchback 2011

The Indian car market already has many hatchback models around, yet, given the popularity of these cars, several car manufacturers are keen to launch more hatchbacks. After the success of the Ford Figo launched few months back, the Ford Motor Company is now set to launch a New Fiesta Hatchback on the Indian roads very soon. Already launched in European countries, the new Fiesta has received a great feedback there.

The New Fiesta Hatchback is powered by a 4 cylinder DOHC engine, with a displacement of 1596cc, capable of delivering a maximum power of 101bhp@6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 146Nm@3400rpm. The transmission is a 6 speed power shift. The front suspension has a McPherson strut mechanism, while the rear suspension makes use of a twist beam with coil spring system. The is being said to able to give a mileage of 12.3 Kmpl in city roads and 16.1Kmpl on the highways.

Many features of a large luxury car are available in the stylish and the elegant New Fiesta Hatchback. The curvy and lengthy headlight, lowered fog light and the shining 'Ford' logo gives a great look to the car. Inside, the dark colored interior gives the cabin a distinct look. Its soft-touch dashboard comes with many features to add to your comfort including an integrated cup holder and a cigarette lighter.

The New Fiesta Hatchback has lot of features to ensure safety. It has Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), curtain side airbags, driver knee air bag, front side airbags, traction control and anti-skid system. The driver enjoys a comfortable drive with the tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Other features include MP3 player, keyless engine start, sunroof, heated front seats and leather upholstery.

The New Fiesta Hatchback will be coming in two variants, namely, the New Fiesta Hatchback SXi and the New Fiesta Gxi, with the expected price of around Rs. 6 lacs.
