Ford Figo

Ford Figo is another car that will soon join the bandwagon of Ford cars in India. On Wednesday, 23rd September, 2009, Ford India unveiled Figo in New Delhi. Mr. Alan Mullay, CEO and president of Ford Motor Company unveiled the much awaited small car Ford Figo at the unveiling ceremony in New Delhi. The soon to be launched Figo is actually a part of Ford's ‘One Vision, One Team & One World’ project. While the automaker provided the first glimpse of the small car Figo, the actual launch would take place in March, 2010.

The small upcoming car from Ford will be a four door hatchback. While this car will have a 1.4 Duratorq indigenous diesel and petrol engine, Ford Figo is believed to deliver high road performance. This Ford hatchback is designed in a more chunky and muscular way. Figo carries stronger look owning to the front to back running kink between flared wheel arches.
The soon to be launched car is based on the Ford’s kinetic design theme. The exclusive design and added features of Ford Figo promises to offer, economy, safety, driving dynamics and value for money. The automaker, Ford India has already invested around $500 million (Rs 2,400 crore). According to the auto expert reviews, the soon to be launched Ford Figo is expected to be competitively priced and emerge as a competition for the Maruti Swift and the Hyundai i20.
