Ford New Mondeo 2.0

initially launched the Mondeo into the D segment, however it did not receive good response from the public. After the success of Fiesta and Figo, Ford India is now gearing up to release the Ford New Mondeo 2.0. The Ford New Mondeo 2.0 will feature enhanced interiors, exteriors, power trains and safety features.

The Ford New Mondeo comes with a 4 Cylinder, 2000cc engine, which has a capacity to deliver power of 142bhp@6000rpm with a maximum torque of 200Nm@2500rpm. The transmission comprises 5 manual gears.

Being a kinetic design from Ford, the Ford New Mondeo 2.0 has a revised exterior including new front and rear bumpers and a new grill. The new front bumper and taillights are feature LEDs . The interior are very luxurious and elegant which offering a comfortable ride to the driver and occupants alike. The use of the soft touch material add grace to the cabin, while a warm illumination has been provided at the center console by the ambient lighting present of the New Ford Mondeo(http://auto.indiamart.com/cars/ford-mondeo/) 2.0. Furhter, the interior visibility has been improved by a special system called CAVE so that the driver gets an all around visibility. Spacious legroom and comfortable rear seats remain the same as present in the earlier model.

Safety highlights of the car include a speed limiter, blind spot information system, driver alert, auto high beam, rear door power child locks, rear view camera and lane departure warning. The Ford New Mondeo 2.0 also promises a stress free and relaxed driving, since the noise levels are very low enabling an easy communication inside the car.

With the car's launch expected early 2011, the price of the Ford New Mondeo is being said to be around Rs. 18 lacs.
