Honda Brio

Honda Motor Company is planning to enter the small car segment in India by launching the Brio Small car, first exhibited at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010. With the The arrival of this vehicle will most likely compete with other medium and small cars in India including Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift and Skoda Fabia. The word Brio means funny car and small and this model was initially codenamed as CV2, other competing automobiles might not find it funny though!

The car features a 1.2L petrol engine with 1200 cc displacement capable of delivering a maximum power of 70bhp, with a 5 speed gear box (manual). Its small and well-refined engine offers better fuel efficiency. The car is expected to be available in four trim levels in India, namely Brio E, Brio S, Brio V, and Brio VAT.

The Brio small car has and elegant exterior which is based on the front forward design offering an appealing presence to the vehicle. Its honey-combed nose gives a sleek look to the Brio small car, further the tail lamps in the rear are placed below when compared with the Jazz model. The design of Brio small car is also similar to that of Chevrolet beat which is a successful model in India. The Brio has a door handle on the rear window frame similar to that of Chevrolet beat.

Interiors of the car are quite similar to that of the Jazz, so you might expect spacious cabin and high level of seating comfort. The vehicle's A/C and interior fabrics have been designed in a manner which suits for the Indian climate. Cup holders, tachometer, folding rear seats are the other Interior specs available.
To provide a safe ride to the car's occupants, the Honda Brio small car comes with parking sensors, fog lamps, EBD and ABS. Said to be launched in 2011 the car is expected to be priced at about Rs. 5.5 lacs.
