REVIEW : Hello getz owners ! i purchased a getz during march 2007 with 5 door alarm system. on 07th july my car stereo was stolen by an intruder by removing the quarter glass, without initiating the alarm system. You know the quarter glass of getz can be removed from outside just by cutting the gasket around it. It is certainly a minus point to the R/D of Hyundai. I tried to reach the concerned R/D head to lodge my complain without success. althogh i made several protest and request to hyundai to compensate the cost of my stolen stereo, until this date i have not been given a convincing reply. Can someone help me to reach the chief of the R/d to lodge my complaint, So that immediate action could be taken to improve the quarter glass fixing mechanism and save other getz owners.

REVIEW : I have a 2003 Getz Gls 1.6 engine stock, i went to the drag strip palomarga in my islands aruba and in cuarter mile i clock 14.98 seconds stock without turbo and nitro. So you can see the getz is powerfull

REVIEW : This is my third review for my Getz GLS. Its been 2 yesrs and 9 month since I own this car. Driving Getz is still a pleasure trip for me. I have noticed a few faults have started appearing now, like some sound from front shock absorbers, rattling on front left door glass when open partially, wobbling on steearing wheel at speeds more than 80kmpl. The wobbling issue has started after I did servicing of my car at a authorized dealer. On positive side, gears are still smooth to operate, AC is still freezing cold, exterior colour quality still looks good and there was no need to change any part as such till now. I also noticed that breaking is improved now. I would still want Hyundai to improve upon wheel torque when AC is powered on. With AC off, there is absolutely no problem in power and pickup. Now something on what people mostly look for in a review, the mileage. I continue to get nearly 12.5 kmpl in city and 15 on highways.

REVIEW : I purchased Hyundai Getz Prime 1.1 GVS model. I have been using this car from the past 2 months and I am quite satisfied with its pickup, mileage, power, A/C, space and Comfort. Interiors are excellent, better than swift, UVA and Esteem. Dashboard plastic finish is even better than any other Car in its class. Gearshift is even better than Sx4. Its a small car from outside and a BIG car from inside. Thanks to Hyundai...!!!

REVIEW : The car is big inside, but consumes too much fuel. It not worth buying. Urban 8km/l, Highway 10km/l. Dealers are well aware of this problem and still they are making fools out of us and making all possible in order to sell this car. After selling they will tell you the standard story : "It's because of your driving style, road conditions... ". DO NOT BUY THIS CAR.

REVIEW : I have purchased Getz in Nov'06 from Ahmedabad Concept Hyundai. Believe me it is a car with comforts in this range. I have done complete R&D about Getz and Swift. Finally I prefered GETZ GLS model. So far mileage is concern I am getting 12km in City. Beautiful Car. "Getz is Getz".
This is my Final assessment. Beautiful car for my family. If somebody wants to purchase Getz and wants luxury type driving he can think about Getz. 1300cc power and mileage. AC is very Powerful.

REVIEW : I have purchased a Getz gls one month back and has done 700kms.city mileage is 7-9 km/litre which is very low without ac.Highway mileage is 13km/litre without ac.The car feels out of power with the ac on in the city driving. The shocks are bad, the mileage is very low. Its only the space, thats attractive in the car. Its not worth the price.

REVIEW : I made a perfect choice by taking Getz, I have driven my Getz for speed max of 135 and all the time on an average I was above the speed of 90 and that too Nashik Mumbai highway (Which is not a Express highway like Mumbai to Pune) early in the morning 6.30 AM and belive me Getz is having amazing breaks, great control,good Power,pickup and absolutely silent engine.

I am the proud owner of the GetZ, bought a month ago, from Bangalore.
My shopping
It all hapened in a week. I had a visit casually to Trident Hyundai on one friday in March. Liked the passion red color. Told the sales manager to give me a quote. He noted down my number, adviced his junior to explain the features. Later he told me, he will give a call, which I am expecting till today. 2 days later, visited Advaith motors and ordered the car. If Trident dont want the business, why should I bother. After all they are not giving me free of cost. But, I dont understand the logic, who appointed that manager, who doesnt have the basic courtsey to call up the clients. From where he learnt marketing?. OK, forget all those things. Come back to basics.
My Home work
I did lot of R&D on small cars, as my budget was around 5 lacs and parking space was 15ft X 8 ft. Finally, I shortlisted Swift, Esteem, Santro and GetZ. Rejected Swift because of its poor shape at the back, look like 34 X 56 X 34. Also, the interior is hopeless till Vxi. Rejected Esteem becuase of the cost, and I belv, it worth only 4.8 lacs for Vxi. Rejected Santro because, every Tom, Dick and Harry uses it. Like Maruti 800 earlier.
Financing
Got Finanace from SBI, in a record 4 days time. No processing fee, no hidden cost, no unwanted questionnaires etc. I BET SBI CAR LOANS ARE HASSLE FREE, AND SAVES YOU LOT OF MONEY. They dont charge you for preclosure etc. Where as banks like ICICI, HDFC etc cheats you a lot. On first glimpse, it looks like fancy.
My Comment on Quality.
Again, cheated by Advaith, they fixed low quality sunfilm for the cost of classic one. Yet to replace. Offerred some freebies, but yet to receive. But as per reviews in MS and other resources, i guess, all these car sellers in India are looters. I never expected better than this. I still doubt, they will even change the engine, once we give it for servicing!!!.
The Getz is a ''grown up'' car, it's not a recreational toy or an extreme ''budget'' car. It's a serious work horse made for every day use. Looks gorgeous in Scarlet red color.
The interior is claimed to be the roomiest in the class, despite the compact external dimensions. It certainly feels spacious, and its practicality cannot be faulted. Very spacious for such a small car, 4 adults sit comfortably with plenty of legroom both in the front and the back.
You'll have noted I marked the car high on performance. That's not because the engine propells the car to high speed quickly (it doesn't). The high mark reflects the performance based on other 1.3l cars I've driven - on this basis, the Getz really is quite speedy.
The 1.3 litre engine copes well on both the highway and in the city. It's a nice combination of performance, low noise and ''reasonably'' low fuel consumption. Fuel consumption is with non-agressive driving usually about 15km/l for mixed city/country road drives. There are many other small cars that consume less than the Hyundai and fuel consumption stated by the manufacturer cannot be expected to reflect real life driving experience.
Overall I'm very happy with the car, it is reliable and keeps up with more expensive cars in terms of standard features, handling and performance. Negative points about Getz:
*The plastics look and feel very cheap, but many times better than Marutis. *Rattling sounds on left door, got it rectified anyway. *Tinny sound when doors close.
*Thin body can be pushed in easily with fingers.
but finally
Its FANTASTIC! mild performance, sexy and sylyish!
A competent and classless car for all pockets, Bloody brilliant mate!!!
Recommendations
None, But dont trust the dealers, they will cheat you in one way or other. It applies to all brands, not just Hyundai.

REVIEW : I own Getz GLS and driving it for last 15 months. So far it is going good, without any problem, except for malfunctioning of roof lamp. I got it replaced from the dealer. The dealer is providing good service, with a follow up call after each service. Driving comfort is still the same. Mileage is also same as I wrote last time, 12.5 in city and 15 on highways, althogh I was expecting it to improve as engine gets driven post 5000 km. With AC off, it attains high speed very easily. Vehicle remains stable at braking even at very high speeds. Thanks to the wider wheelbase and high self weight. On highways, if I have to swiftly overtake a speeding vehicle, I need to either switch off AC or lower down to 4th gear to get more torque.

My New Black Getz has just completed 1 year and 8000km out of which 5000 km on highway and believe on me,in this segment this is the wonderful car with all safety precautions, great cabin and boot space,good interirs.
I got average 13.5Km/L with AC on and 4 person luggage when I moved 1200 km from Nashik to AshtaVinayak Darshan by my Getz.
Swift is better at looks and little more powerful then Getz. But what is the use if u dont have space and sitting comfert in it?

The GLX model with ABS brakes is excellent. It is a very silent car. No vibrations at 140kms speed with excellent mileage of 14.5 kms/litre with ac. It is the best car in its category.
Aesthetics and quality of interior can be made more superior to match with its outlook.
