It has been raining hatchbacks for a while, and with the recent Hyundai i20 Sportz launch, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has set yet another benchmark in the premium compact car category in India.

Going by a company-sourced Hyundai i20 Sportz review, this new petrol variant of the award-winning car is positioned to bridge the gap between the Asta and the Magna variants of i20. Hyundai i20 Sportz price has been fixed at Rs. 531,817 Ex Delhi.

The Hyundai i20 Sportz car variant, just like its petrol-driven counterpart Hyundai i20 Era, is powered by the 1.2 kappa, 79bhp, aluminum 4-cyl engine. It can generate a maximum power of 80 Bhp at 5200 rpm, and has a maximum torque of 11.4 at 4,000 kgm. An 1.4 automatic version is also available on the Hyundai i20 Sportz petroleum car. Hyundai i20 Sportz mileage for city is 11.5 KMPL and for highway 15.0 KMPL. The capacity of the fuel tank is 45 liters.

The new Hyundai i20 Sportz car is more spacious than its previous variants, and have been stylized with many eye catching features. The designing of Hyundai i20 Sportz India is largely inspired by i30, the premium hatchback, which has already been launched in Europe and Korea. The front is defined with a low slung chrome radiator grille, large headlamps and sporty round fog lights. The rear view mirrors now have integrated turn indicators on them. The cabin features an ambient blue glow along with an revamped silver center fascia.
