Land Rover FreeLander 2

Tata Motors has launched its latest SUV - Land Rover FreeLander 2 in the Indian market on 22nd September, 2009. This latest launched compact crossover sports utility vehicle is made by the British company Land Rover which is now a subsidiary of Tata Motors. The latest SUV from Tata Motors is priced around Rs.35 Lakhs or less (excluding local taxes).

Land Rover FreeLander 2 is different from the other SUVs that generally have body-on-frame structure. Whereas this new car from Tata Motors is constructed on a unibody structure that is shared with the Ford Mondeo.
Similar to the other imported cars, Land Rover FreeLander 2 is expected to be heavily priced due to 100% import duty. While this latest launch is sold in UK for Rs. 17 Lakhs that is half price of the cost of FreeLander 2 in India. Imported as a CBU, the price of Tata Motors land Rover FreeLander 2 is estimated to be Rs. 35 lakhs.

Apart from this most awaited & recently launched Land Rover Freelander 2, the other launches from Tata Motors in India include Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and Discovery 3.
