REVIEW : Hi Guys & Gals,  Its sheer Stupidity to compare this to a CRV or any High end Imported Model, I have been going thru reviews I have been having this car for alsmost Seven Months Now I own an M hawk LX You guys need to Understand that the Braking are based on the Capabality of the Tyres. I have the original Fitment of Appollo 235 x 70 /R16 try  Changing it to a Yakohama 255/70/R16 or A contineltal with the same Specks and replace the same with Either HRS or Star Rism and try driving the same you will feel the difference. In all it is a beautiful car for the price you pay. truly Indian - Bharat Matha Ke Jay.

REVIEW : my uncle owned this monster last week, as soon as the car was delivered, the next day we took a ride to mysore from bangalore and back . The monster had a mhawk engine with a sle body fittings. I drove the car for a full stretch of 400 km. I felt the car's response was great, the comfort for the driver is good. as it was a new car, I maintained the speed at 80km/h. I got a great mileage. I suggest a best car for indian road.

REVIEW : we've just come back from a 7,500km trip from great brakriver to the angolan border. we had a roof rack with 80 lit of diesel, roof top tent and all other 4x4 equipment. we took out all the back seats so that we could fit in crates as well as 100 lit of water, as we were bush camping most of the time. lots was 4x4 roads ....even did van zyl's pass in kaokaland. except for minor problems our scorpio came through with flying colors and was very comfortable. a most enjoyable vechile to drive on such a long trip.

REVIEW : Great SUV/car. Purchased one about a year ago, performance is good,pickup is powerful for a 2liter petrol to drag a near 2tonner. Very proud to drive an Indian Built car in a land filled with Japanese vehicles as Mahindra Scorpio does turn heads around as you cruise by. Very stable suspension, negotiating corner at 100km/hr gives you confident. Hats off Mahindra Scorpio, i just love this car and its a pleasure driving this beautiful piece of vehicle on all terrain.

REVIEW : I sold my 2004 DX model Scorpio and bought VLX fitted with M Hawk engine. I must say the car is beautiful but the newly features in this model does not function  and the problem cant even be fixed by their Authorized workshop M/s Bhasin motors,. When I write to them on e-mail they never reply or look into the problems raised by me. Please dont be misled with the new features they have added in VLX you should go for SLX and not to buy this new VLX model as after sale  repair work cant be fixed by them.  Other wise I love Scorpio  But for this model which cant be fixed and mahindra's Delhi office never reply to the e-mail sent to them

Braking system apart from that every thing is good, the most i got Impressed in these "All new scorpio" the power of the engine, amazing power & u wont feel like driving the diesel engine.... good keep it up M&M. i have touched 164 on Salem highway with full blast of A/C & with 8 people. amazing power of the engine, apart from this i even bought Verna Crdi Sx in 2008 Feb even this vehicle has got amazing power.

REVIEW : I bought the SLx CRDe SEZ model in May 2006. Have already logged 45,000 kms. Been on long drives with on & off road conditions. It is a very reliable SUV / MUV. For city drive, it is surely one of the best. Be it safety ( even without ABS ), comfort, fuel economy, the new Scorpio sets the standards. One must not forget its price. I should conclude by saying " VALUE FOR MONEY- SUV". Truely India's pride. The after sales service is not so good as of today and hope Mahindra's are listening to this very important aspect.

REVIEW : Scorpio is a good but the service backup is poor.My car had starting probelm & had logged in less than 1 lakh km.The service agent ripped me of by putting rings, which were not needed. the starting probelm remained. took up the matter with the company.it got rectified with fuel pump probeln, Beware of the service dealer Sri Durga Motors, The aircondioner goes off and once my new battery was changed during service and I had to buy a new one.

REVIEW : All in all - a great buy! Please DO NOT COMPARE with Japanese vehicles. I bought my SLX in May 2005, done 51,000km - no problems. The dealership / service center could be better with response during servicing, otherwise, no problems. Recently I was looking at some land, and on a Steep slope, the car got Stuck - should not have happened. Take regular precautions while driving - great drive!

REVIEW : I was the owner of Scorpio for more than a year.My experience with the vehicle was good as well as bad. First the good ones: Good engine power, spacious, good mileage in CRDe, good pick up, good view, gr8 looks, gr8 off roads and bumps, good for long drives & Indian roads, less maintanance. 
Now the bad ones:
Very unstable when u reach 90kmph & further. the body rolls heavily even at 70kmph, very accident prone due to high unstability at high speeds : two accidents for me, heavy vehicle , high centre of gravity hence toppels easily, highest no.of accidents than any other SUVs, heavy structure hence heavy momentum caanot stop easily at high speeds even at 80-90 its hard to stop the vehicle , it tends to drag .
plactics interiour and exteriors lack of touch of class.
Better suvs are CRV PAJERO TAVERA coz handling the vehicle is easy and they r very stable .

REVIEW : Bought Mahindra Scorpio early 2007. So far so good as performance is concern. But after sales service not good. Dealer & supporting staff are preoccupied with other makes. Mahindra's inclusion means more work & trouble to them. Don't talk but do something to improve the services and delivery of parts, as well. Good driving performance is meaningless with lacklustre after sales support.

REVIEW : By looks this car is appealing. But if you buy this there are all the issues of an Indian car which is a luxury car not upto the mark of any Japanese cars, I think I should say, with regard to quality this is a uncomparable to Japanese brands. Needless to say it is very powerful. But here even you will find the slow response of a diesel engine at low speeds.
When it comes to the service in India, Even though the service is rated as 3rd or 4th best service in India, it is still not upto the mark. It can also be a problem with the dealer I am dealing with. But I found that there are problems arising after every service. I think the kind of problems which I report when giving the vehicle for service is also not rectified before returning it after service. The kind of testing done after service is insufficient.

REVIEW : The Scorpio is a great vehicle brilliant value for your money. HAve had mine for more than a year and handles beautifully both on long drives and in the city as well. Braking is good.Luckily got he high end version and am enjoying all the gizmos daily. Very good buy. The Service is also very good. The icing on the cake that it is an Indian vehicle all in all . REVIEW : Lets talk about the bad points only.

1. the rear door opens sideways, which is a great handicap and presents numerous hurdles in making the Scorpio a truly multi-utility vehicle. An upward-opening rear door (which is a world standard now) would have facilitated loading and carriage of various items as well as for camping purposes. of course, there would have been some increment in costs, but the advantages would have been tremendous. Strongly suggest this modification.

2. there is no Towing facility in front and rear. If somebody wants to Tow a boat or small mobile room or just a trailer with camping equipment, it is not possible. m&m should have thought of all this and provided the facility without demands from the people.

3.the rear seats should be optional. for long drives, its much better to sit on the floor at the rear, as those seats become very uncomfortable on a cross-country drive and also pose serious restriction in the space available for baggage, in case no passengers are there. Those seats take a lot of space and add to the weight of the scorpio and of course the cost.

4. the weight of the scorpio is too much. 1.5 tons! the m&m r&d deptt should work harder to reduce this weight further.
with these modifications, the scorpio will beat others by miles!!!

REVIEW : Over all good vehicle, but u cant miss the poor quality like the plastics - both inside and outside (cladding). THe sales guys refer to fondly as fibre, but I've yet to see fiber crumble with a slight bump. A very Indian SUV.

REVIEW : I have been reading a few sarcastic comments on the Scorpio.
It is interesting to note that some of them compares a Scorpio to a Range Rover or a Hummer. My first advice to them is Go buy a RR or a Hummer.
I ave a Honda CRV that I bought the Scorpio. The cars like the CRV is a result of millions of dollars of research and expertise of the best auto engineers in the world and still it cannot go of the road and they call it a SUV.
My Scorpio is a SLX and it an amazing vehicle with excellent features and refinement in its fit and finish. I feel M&M is selling it too cheap for the kind of perfomance it delivers. In fact I have had the scorpio for 4 months and I have covered just over 16,000 kms and my CRV has done only around 2500 kms since the purchase of the Scorpio. The fit and finish is excellent, the performance for the kind of vehicle it is, is amazing. Nobody is willing to shell out money but want a Hummer of range rover, Poor fellows. Friends to crticise and advice is the easiest thing in the world. But then you need a large heart and an attitude to appreciate.

REVIEW : My experience is really owesome.... with scorpio, i have purchased the scorpio a month ago from now.. and i went for a very long drive for example 2500 kms almost non stop....and i enjoyed the drive like anything...it is honestly RUGGED vehicle available in India, i touched the speed on mumbai puna express highway 145 to 155 kms per hr ....but even my scorpio was willing to go further ...but i came down, the pickup is Great and the sitting comfort is better then earlier...and the suspension is toooooooo...good i have driven my scorpio wantedly on very bad roads... but i even enjoyed the jerk less drive...and also the engine sound is very low, one can feel that you are driving an highend imported pertol car..... noise level is very low....the only thing has to be improved that is brakeing, i mean i have controlled at the speed of 155 to 160 kms per hr,...but ultimately i had a wonderful experience with scorpio.... I MUST SAY IT'S A INDIAN WARHORSE ON ROAD, WHICH CAN FIGHT WITH ANY DAM SUV AVAILABE IN INDIA...ONLY THING IS THE EXPERT DRIVER NEEDED.... TO HANDLE.. THE HORSE.

REVIEW : I have been reading the reviews for quiet a time now & i personally feel that the car isnt bad at all.
May be the customers who have bought the vehicle from their respectve dealers may hve cheated them.
The car works in a very good condition and i hve learnt to drive on this vehicle.I must say that the M&M team have worked hard to get this vehicle into market.I myself hve purchased a Scorpio & I AM PROUD TO OWN A BEAUTIFUL 4X4

REVIEW : I purchased a all new scorpio.2006 model.the interiors are very worse nd the leg space is very little i feel the seating adjusting difficult nd the engine sounnds very bad,even the fuel consumption is more.however the looks of the car is very good.

REVIEW : I always wanted a mahindra vehicle and started with a mm540.when bolero came i was excited but had a Zen and really,it was worth the wait and finally bought a scorpio in oct 2005.made a mistake of buying a base model as all the accessories in the nxt model are availble but not easily fitted .and to make things worse out came the new scorpio in 2006!!!sad but can't help it!
its a great vehicle and worth much more than what it sells for.i've used some other suvs but scorpio is beautiful.
i just regret not having the new model and hope that some additions can be done to this model at some nice ,understanding,mech or garagegreat work

REVIEW : Feels like driving a truck,
hit 100 and u start trembling..feels like u are gonna topple and many people have might be good to ride on a runway...
cant take it up the hills, on the hairpins, feels like someone is lifting u from behind...
very unstable..
decently powered engine,
but u know, at the end of the day, it is all indian technology and nothing else...
