Mahindra India is planning to introduce a smaller version of
, the Mini Xylo Hatch. Surprisingly
the Mini Xylo Hatch is less than four meters in length. The car is designed
to accommodate five passengers with two rows of seats. It is expected that
the new car will crack the market segment currently dominated by low key
sub-4 meters SUVs like the Premier Rio, the only one currently available in
the market within the category.
Mahindra Mini Xylo Hatch comes with a
shortened wheelbase, is less than four meters in length, and has a 1498cc
diesel engine. The front-end design and interiors are like the current Xylo.
It is a B+Segment diesel fueled car. In addition, the car comes with
independent and multi-link coil springs, a diesel engine with less than 1.5
liters capacity that makes the automobile as one of the most stylish small
cars, at the same time ensuring 12% savings in terms of excise duties.

Other features of the Mahindra Mini Xylo Hatch are - body color bumpers,
tachometers, power windows, central locking, remote fuel filler, rear wiper,
and manual driver seat adjustments. While the air-conditioning is without
the climate control, there is the rear AC vent. Further, if you were to opt
for a music system, it will cost you a little more. Compared to its earlier
counterpart, the engine capacity has been reduced from 2.5 to 1.5 liters.
For this purpose, one cylinder has been eliminated reducing both the bore
and strokes.
