REVIEW : I have been an owner of a Maruti Suzuki Baleno since December 2003 and since then, i've clocked 1,32,000 kms in my Baleno. Except for the few niggles that keep on cropping up every now and then(considering it was submerged in flood waters for 2 continuous), there's been no major expense yet due to any inherent fault in the car. And considering the negligible service costs and cost of parts, owning a Baleno has not been an unpleasant affair which can be seen in some American and European cars. As to the mileage, it has dipped to 10kmpl in the city over the years but i can remember it giving up to 13kmpl in the city and over 17kmpl on the highway. Carving corners is not the best aspect of this car but nothing in the recent past comes even close to matching its performance in acceleration below the Rs 10 lakh segment. Its comfortable and the suspension absorbs bumps considerably well. Ground clearance is the only major issue in this car. Overall, an excellent car to even buy se!
cond hand.

REVIEW : I am a proud owner as a big sige more comfertable and very
perfact car Maruti Balano VXI Dec 2005. I brough and drive 60000.00 kms. I
have no maintenence like wise maruti 800, because as i thought 1590 cc cars
is much plassure as comperativly in maruti 800. So cost is no criteria Why?
Because we drive with own family members and they all off enjoued as very
gresefull.I also feel the particular car on road no red signal and nobody
stop for cheking etc.

REVIEW : I own a black baleno vxi 2004 model. Its still in very very
good condition not to mention the tyres which are of course a bit flat, and
im planning to change it. A little maintenance have also been done on
graphics.
I really agree that it is a very fast and powerful car with the 97BHP and
1.6L engine. At first gear it is still possible to reach 74 km/h at about 4
secs in a straight line but haven't checked the top speed myself. I dont
know why the company discontinued baleno. And i still like this super-fast,
luxury car. And i dont like the 'new baleno' SX4 i dislike the design and
many other things.
Baleno ROCKS!!!

REVIEW : Hi, I purchased a baleno just a couple of weeks bac and it
was preowned buy, having clocked 30000 km and a 2005 model. The car was in
mint condition with everything perfectly inplace. The outstanding feature of
baleno is its ride quality, simple superb as well as the overall control
that one has over the car makes u feel like u wanan rev it to the limits. I
think there is no other car like baleno even today with immpecable ownership
costs, luxury and topflight performance. Baleno is a "catch me if u can"
attitude car.

REVIEW : Hi,
I have a 2005 Baleno Lxi done only about 25000kms till date. Used mainly
for weekends, long trips and highways. The car is excellent VFM and gives me
an average of 12km in city and about 17 in highways when Iam crusing around
100kmph. The car has not given any problems except ground clearance when you
have 3adults sitting in the rear seat but even those 3 adults do not feel
cramped and AC is mindblowing. I once had to drop a relative of mine to BIA
and we had about 3adults/1 teenager at the rear, i adult in the front
passenger seat and me driving with two suitcases in the boot. The car just
was breezing and some of the bigger Innovas/Corollas drivers were just
staring at us. Initial pick up is low but once you cross 60kmpl, the engine
revvs up. Just recently, i waanted to trade in my baleno with a NHC or
Cedia, the showroom guys were seen pleading me to sell the car and were
giving good discounts on the new cars but my heart was just not letting it
go. Its irony Maruti have discontinued the model wherein they would have
made a better exterior facelit and marketed well.

REVIEW : I have a baleno VXI since 2005 and have driven about 43000
kms in less than 4 years. The car is ultimate in visibility, stability,
control and handling. Visibilty is the best. Driver can see all 4 corners
well without worrying about the bumber in front touching any other vehicle
while driving in crowded areas. Maintenance cost is as good as maruti 800.
Its a great pleasue to drive on highways. I tried many cars in this segment
before buying this car and I am proud today to say that I did not make any
mistake in chossing this car.

REVIEW : I Own a LXI Dec 2005 model and have clocked around 15000
Kms to date. I have a Dec 2000 M 800 also. I should confess that although
its comfortable to drive. i dont find the Baleno delivering its promised
power. Somehow i always feel its underpowered. My 800 seems to be more zippy
than the Baleno. On one of the recent long drives we had, my friend took
over from me and after driving for sometime expressed surprise that its a
1.6L engine. He clearly said that he was not getting the feel. He was
continuously switching off the AC whenever he wanted to overtake another
vehicle. He owns an Alto and a i10. One more thing, My Baleno somehow
struggles to deliver above 120 Kmph with the AC on. Is something wrong with
the Baleno or is it i am just wondering things. I request some suggestions
on this.

REVIEW : I have a June 2005 model baleno...done 22000 kms... It's an
excellent performance sedan but there is a general opinion that its looks
outdated..So I just gave it a revamped look and probably my baleno is the
only one in the country to be in pearl yellow finish... added body kit with
side skirts and xenon lamps...rear video camera and in dash dvd cum GPS
systems, removable racing steering wheel, chrome gear knob and hand brake...
added K&N filter with typhoon intake.... tested in sriperumbudur race
track...did 0-100kph in 11 secs(that's with a worn out clutch)... touched
200 kmph in calcutta highway.....mileage 8 kmpl in city...12 kmpl highway(
driving at speed 150-160 kph)..16 kmpl highway(80-100 kmph). I even used my
car as a safety car for one of the JK tyre junior cup races in 2007.... (the
original safety car baleno is a pathetic yellow)

REVIEW : I bought Baleno-LXi in Jan 07 and done 12000 km. So far so
good..., no problems, smooth cruising, good highway mileage (15-16 km). On
good surfaces it cruises absolutely firm at any speed I have pushed so far
(max.120 km). Brakes are superb. Maruti should not have discontinued this
fine car. An interior upgraded Baleno with increased ground clearance would
have been very successful.

REVIEW : Hi, i own a Baleno Vxi(2004 model). I am very much
satisfied with the performance. Driving the car is really effortless,
there's no need of frequent gear changes as its able to cruise effortlessly
right from very low revs even at a high gear. The A/c is superb. The car is
roomy and visibility is excellent. It offers good mileage (around 10kmpl in
city and 15kmpl at highways with a/c on). I feel the cars tyres are too
skinny and definitely needs to be upsized. The interiors should have been
given a mordern touch. Overall Baleno is an excellent performer and good
value for money

REVIEW : Bought a Baleno VX in Jan 06. So far so good. The Baleno is
exceptionally good value for money given that there is nothing substantially
different between ther various B Segment 3box sedans (hyundai,
honda, chevy, ford and Suzuki) The car seems to be giving me 11Kmpl on
terrible roads of Bangalore with the AC on. Have not really tested out the
highway performance. Feel a little underpowered - probably because my last
car was a 2.7L V6. My recommendation would be to go for this car if you are
looking for a good reliable 3 Box sedan. The optra/corolla/honda city might
just give you that extra bit of snob value. On every other count the Baleno
is better - reasonably ok to look at, good mileage, reliable maruti service
network and probably the cheapest in the segment and the high end Baleno
offers much more options than the low end city at substantially lower
prices.

REVIEW : I bought Baleno LXi on March after much of research on
Accent/Fiesta/Icon and Indigo and doing test drives.
After considering every aspect like milage, maintence cost, engine power,AC
etc , I zeroed on Baleno Lxi . It costed me on road 6.15L in Bangalore after
some corporate discounts etc.
The vehicle is supreb in pick up and power. Very good seating comfert and
powerfull AC which can chill you in 30 sec. Milage is around 12 in city
traffic. Only little drawback is rear look and taillight look that does not
count considering the features you get at such a good price. Overall great
Car and complete satisfaction.

REVIEW : I am a proud owner of a Maruti Baleno LXI, BS-II.I bought
it in Jan 2005 and have clocked @16000 kms since then. It is an absolute
wonder - the power, pickup, space and comfort. I am extremely happy with the
car's performance. Cruising at low speeds is also not a problem, changing
the speed from low to high works like a super dream. One shift to the 3rd
gear and pressing on the pedal pushes this car into a different league.
It is sad that the car is under-rated; more innovative marketing techniques
from Maruti is required. Additionally, Maruti could also think of having a
more powerful gen-next car on the lines of Baleno; with a 2.2L engine,
130+bhp....:-)
