The Mercedes A-Class Hatchback CDi is one of the most beautiful yet powerful small cars, expected to be launched in the Indian market by early 2011.

The car has a strong 1991cc engine with four cylinders and a compression ratio of 18.0:1. The transmission comprises five speed gears and 16 valves. The engine is capable of generating a power of 82Bhp@4200rpm and a maximum torque of 180Nm@1400rpm. In addition to this, the small wonder comes with a 5 gear manual transmission system.

The Mercedes A-Class Hatchback CDi offers beautiful interiors, including an overhead control panel with driver/passenger reading lights and luggage compartment lighting. There are some other notable features too, such as height adjustable load compartment floor with sTowage facility, height adjustable steering column, door sill panels and aluminium inlays.

For security purposes, the car has alarm system, protection immobilizer and remote central locking. Besides, it also has highly effective Front fog lamps that allow clear vision.

The all new version of Mercedes A-Class offers complete safety with excellent features like tyre pressure warning, 3 rear 3 point seatbelts, Driver and passenger airbags, Front and rear outer seat belt, a warning triangle, front side airbags, height adj front seatbelts, a first aid kit, belt force limiters .

To make your journey comfortable the car comprises 3 height adjustable rear headrests, removable rear seat cushions, Isofix child seat preparation and Height adjustable driver's seat. Moreover, there is a spacious leg room, which allows comfortable seating as well.

When launched in India, the Mercedes A-Class Hatchback CDi is expected to cost about Rs. 28 lacs.
