Mitsubishi Motors, the 5th largest car manufacturer in Japan steps in to Indian small car segment. Mitsubishi Colt probably is the first small hatchback car from Mitsubishi Motors to launch in India. Mitsubishi easily caught the veins of Indians which has a high fever for stylish hatchback cars and did not take much longer to grabbed the opportunity.

With introduction of Colt in Indian market Mitsubishi Motors is ready to mark a niche in small hatchback car segment. The Japanese car manufacturer already ruled the powerful heavy car segment. Mitsubishi Colt must be a small car but did not compromised with styling, quality, safety features and comfort. Keeping intact all the latest technologies without compromising the style and comfort is a major challenge for all the car manufacturers and Mitsubishi once again succeeded.The five seater hatchback is featured with two front airbags, emergency braking system, 3 rear seat belts for extra protection. It has got enough leg room and head space as well like other big cars. It is equipped with CD player, climate control AC and electric mirror for both side doors. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engines with the price range of about 9 to 12 lakh ex-showroom.

The petrol version will be powered with 1.1ltr engine whereas diesel with 1.5ltr with a displacement of 1500cc. Colt 1.1 accelerates at 92hp at 6000rpm whereas 1.5 diesel is capable for producing 70hp. Maximum torque for Colt diesel and petrol is 210nm at 1800rpm and 124nm at 4000rpm respectively. Colt is easy to drive and restricts noise inside the cabin and also the light steering enables a well refined handling. It is not just a car but an Eco-friendly device for the urban life.
