Volkswagen Vento

It was widely speculated that Volkswagen will formally tie hands with Maruti Suzuki and share their technologies to develop small cars in India. To break the news VW has already started production with its new sedan car Volkswagen Vento. Adding to this they might also - manufacture other models at the same production unit by later this year end. In past 3 years we see increasing number of Volkswagen new car models rolling on road. Volkswagen sedan cars are already a big success in India and with exclusive production of Volkswagen Vento, it not only showed the commitment but also marked a milestone Towards a successful journey in India.

Volkswagen Vento is considered to be the sedan version of much applauded hatchback car Volkswagen Polo. In India it will be available in two variants, Vento Trendline and Vento Highline. The launch was a huge success with both petrol and diesel engine options. Both the variants will have 1.6 litre engine with power of 105 bhp at 5250 rpm for the petrol version and 105 bhp at 4400 rpm for diesel version. It is equipped with 5 speed manual transmission.

Some of the features in Vento may be seen only in top luxury cars. It is enabled with CD MP3 Player with 4 speakers, adjustable steering wheel and height adjustable driver seat. For a comfort travel it is designed with cup holders, arm rest in center of both front and rear seats and also several storage has been included. The safety features like fog lamps, remote central locking, high ground clearance, airbags, ABS and electronic immobilizer are the main features which won the heart of car lovers.
