India. The company is a part of the Korean multinational Daewoo Group
with an yearly turnover of more than 65 billion US dollars. With a
diversified presence in 123 countries, the global annual production of
this company is over 1.7 million units. They produce an entire range of
automotive products including sedans, buses and trucks. The company was primarily incorporated to manufacture light commercial vehicles. Daewoo Motors has also given excellent cars to Indian roads. Nexia, Cielo and Matiz are few of the models of middle and small car segments made by the company. Daewoo motors, despite of being the single largest investing company in the Indian Automobile Industry, has not attained that kind of success for which they had hoped. The price slash boomeranged on it. It has thrown an adverse affect on sales, raising queries related to the quality of the reduced price model.
