Motors Ltd. (ITML) is basically a world class tractor manufacturing
company and is based in Himachal Pradesh. It was integrated in 1994 by
Mr. R.S.Khadwalia, the Managing Director of the company. The company
started its commercial production in October 2000 at Baddi in District
Solan of Himachal Pradesh. ITML now spread in the area of 34 acres
started its work with the production of single model. But now the
company manufactures tractor models of almost range including 30HP,
35HP, 40HP, 50HP and 60HP. The company manufactures the products while
keeping in mind the needs of its users thus delivering the best quality
products.
In the year 2000, March, ITML merged with Ursus Diesel Company Ltd.
(Warsaw, Poland) for sourcing completely assembled engines. Since then,
the company indigenized the engine components, manufacturing and
assembly process and in March 2003, ceased the import of engines. The
company has enhanced its technical capabilities to the level that in May
2006, it started the export of engine to Poland.
The company's production planning entails the application of definite
levels of technology and automation in order to allow the manufacturing
processes to remain lucrative at various different production levels.
The company's has kept its operations flexible enough to meet and adjust
the ever changing market trends and demands. Operations are flexible,
accommodating changes in product design to meet emerging market needs.
ITML has consolidated the manufacturing of tractors in Baddi, resulting
in the leading to optimization in capacity, technology and local costs.
