REVIEW : My first bike was a std 350 and during that time did a lot
of delhi to dehradun trips and i just loved the ride. After a couple of
years Bajaj terminator or what ever u call it say 'Avenger" was
in my garage and when i say garrage ,yes it was there as i just did not like
the ride or power.Once u ride a bullet then nothing else will do. Yes sir,
just a week back i gifted myself with the King of the Indian bike...RE 500
LB...and i have been tripping ever since...Nothing else can compare to the
power, superb handling and with a short exhaust the legendary thump.

REVIEW : This bike is totally junk. Mine stayed in the shop for 8
months. They could not get the gears working. Breaks squealed. Electrical
system failed. And the dealer was no help and rude. I sold it for 66000 INR
(at 1500km) and considered that a relief. I have an old bullet and it is
fine. The new one... junk

REVIEW : Hi friends. This is my first bike. I bought from my
pocket-sold works to get this bike. When asked my parents to buy me this
bike they straight away showed me their thumb for this. They told me i can
have a scooter but no bike but i told them sooner or latter i am going to
own one - so on 15 November 2000 I bought this bike. In the beginning this
bike gave me so much trouble i just can't explain. Every second day I used
to run for the service station to get to know this bike because u can't get
it touch from any body u really need to know quite a bit about this bike if
u really want to enjoy it n how does it work seasonally - need to know
adjustment for trouble free ride on the highway journeys- expeditions it can
take u anywhere wherever u want to but u should know how to drive in
different terrain. It isn't a child play to have a bike n become biker.
There are a lot of things u r suppose to keep in mind when u r going for
something -personally i like to suggest their are a lot of modifications
suppose to be made to this bike. If we talk about chassis outdated,
accessories are not compatible but the engine is cool unmatched. Now i am
getting close to cross over 200,oook.m with this bike -now i like to
assemble a cruise bike myself with machismo 500cc engine to fit all terrain
purpose.

REVIEW : I just want to convey this to the designers of
machismo......yes this new machismo looks far far stylish and attractive
than any other bullet and of course it's the most powerful bike on Indian
roads excluding yamaha's superbikes. Congrats!!! to the designer for their
good work and I hope u continue to launch more improved and attrative
bullets.I donot own a buller but yes I will someday.Actually, I am waiting
for more improved version of bullet. The new machismo 500cc does not have a
rear disk brake otherwise I would have owned it.So, I expect the next
bullet with a rear disk brake.
I request the designer of the machismo to launch the next machismo with a
rear
disk brake .... coz I want to see a rear disk brake first in bullet on
Indian roads.

REVIEW : Bullet is undoubtably the big daddy of all the bikes . Once
you drive a bullet, other bikes just seem like a mere mean of transportation
and nothing else. It has a wow feeling in it . I was just astonished to know
that its average is 46.great,isn't it?

REVIEW : My bike is 8 years old, and I've done less than 12000 km on
it. Every 2nd week, its back in the mechanics shop, because something or the
other either burst, or outdated and had to be replaced. Its good upto 60,
but try to take it above 60, and it rattles and shakes like anything.
Enfield is good to massage ego, not brains. If you have nothing better to do
in life, buy an enfield, otherwise stay away from it.

REVIEW : The biggest problem with this bike is the after sales
service. Plus points for the bike are the looks and mileage. Minus points
are no self start. If REM can bring self start on this model , it will be
really great.

REVIEW : Not to mention but AVL engine has given new dimension to
enfield. Great pickup, great milage and the top speed are also high in
comparison with cast iron engine. It will not give you the thud of a normal
bullet but when you are at a red light and you can really amaze people by
showing the pickup of this monster.
My advice to you if you have purchased a new machismo would be that first
remove the regular silencer from the bike and put a shorter silencer. It
will give you some good amount of thud and good pickup as well. Also try to
change the switches with the switches of thunderbird. And last but not the
least, if you have not completed 5000kms on this bike then don"t try to
go over 60Kms. After that you can try and let me tell you that it will cross
the speed of 90s and 100s like sharp knife cuts the butter. Also its not
about this bike, its about the after sales service, you will find it worst
for any bullet. They are not working on it and probably they will lose
customers because of that. There is a drought of spares in the market and
enfield is not providing it. If you compare the after sales service of honda
and bajaj, if you rate them 100 then bullet is at 10. Even a place like
delhi does not have parts and qualified machanics. This is the only and
biggest negative point that I can attach with my machismo.

REVIEW : Bought my Machismo on September 29, 2005 (Southern Motors,
Chennai). Had a few minor initial hassles, but now my 'Silverbull' rides
like a dream!! She"s a looker, too!! Only downside I can think of is
the beat, but changing silencers will definitely help. A fuel gauge & an
electric start are other useful additions that REM could have added to the
bike. Options like adding company made front windshield, split seats, &
saddlebags (they"re pricey, though) makes the Machismo easily
customizable, unlike its siblings. Good mileage, I always get around 42
something (city riding). Good buy, & definitely better than its rival -
the Thunderbird!

REVIEW : This bike is a class of its own. I am using it for over a
year. No problem at all. Pick up is amazing. You can surprise people at
signals.
The bike is stable, sturdy, shining, noisy and classy. Some experiments
with silencer help me achieve thump close to electra. Properly tuned engine
can give you great milage, pickup and relatively to silent operations.
But go for bullet only if you have a passion within.

REVIEW : I have done 35000 kms on this bike already, and it still
can do traffic light dashes like none else. Very powerful and very reliable
when it comes to driving for hundreds of miles. I have cruised for many
hours at 3-digit speeds without problems.

REVIEW : Worst after sales service. I just cant get a decent place
in Bangalore to service the bike! The REM showroom mechanics are like
Goverment office babus, will not work unless paid under the table!
REM management WAKE up! Its only this factor that keep people away from
such a great bike!

REVIEW : The greatest bike ever built. After riding the Bullet for
the last 6 years and also trying out a lot of other bikes i have come to
this verdict. Two accidents on the highway and not a scretch to the bike or
me. ( Note : do not try to have an accident though). I have done 10000 KMs
in 6 months and nothing has fallen off the bike or any parts changed. Easy
to maintain and great mileage (28Km/Pl in City and 35 on Intercity rides)
After sales is a problem though. The perfect accessory to make your self a
man!

REVIEW : Bought the bike around a year back and have used it for
city travel extensively and quite a few big trails. The thumper (with a
little metal sound mix) is a good sturdy bike, which can take a lot of abuse
and still survive.
All in all, it has been a good buy and am looking forward to buying the 500
version soon (As soon as I can manage the moolah). Ride....all the way.

REVIEW : Its an ego massager alright, but the problems outnumber the
plus points, dealer cooperation is the worst, Even the after sales service
bills take u for a ride as the dealer used poor quality oil and charges
exorbitant cost, my a350 is 2 yrs old, wud u beleive it after 10 k
kilometres my cdi conked out, the bike refused to start in the highway, i
had to abandon it and go back to city to get a new one.My rear rim got
corroded and punctured the tube .Good for people with no job who love to sit
in the mechanic shops and tinker around.Certainly not for guys putting their
hard earned money and certainly not for commuters. No such probs at all in
my suzuki
