REVIEW : For mainly Pawan Jain, Jamil Akhtar, Ashray, Manish V,
Murali those are not getting above 65 kms/ltr in Passion Plus. I feel
sorry for you guys as the nice bike is not showing it's recommended
mileage.
I was driving Hero Honda CD100 Deluxe (mine) and Hero Honda CD100 SS
(brother's bike) first. Both the bikes were giving above 70 kms/ltr in
traffic. My CD100 Deluxe was giving 85-90 kms/ltr in traffic free roads.
I was really impressed. Now, I purchased the new Passion Plus blindly
last week from my salary only because of my faith on Hero Honda. It gave
64 km in 1st ltr and 74 km in 2nd ltr. Waiting for 3rd ltr now.
Definitely, the mileage will keep increasing after some free services.
But I challenge, the minimum mileage will be 65 km/ltr for me in B'lore
traffic. I suggest that you follow the below points to get the
recommended mileage. If still you're not getting then there may be some
issue with the engine. Please file a complaint to Hero Honda that the
bike is not showing the correct mileage. I assure that they will help.
- Switch off your engine during signals with long waiting periods.
If you are going to be stationary for over a minute shut off the
engine.
- Fuel: Always buy fuel in the morning as it is sold by volume and
expands during the day when it gets hot. Tank up from busy and well
know fuelling stations where quality and quantity are assured.
- Clutch Usage: Avoid slipping the clutch while riding and also
during standing starts. Most riders clutch in and blip the throttle
while weaving through traffic. It helps in performance minded but
plays havoc on the full efficiency.
- Avoid shifting up and down and try to maintain a sate and
constant cruising speed in top gear. Do not open the throttle wide
open, a part open throttle is the most efficient throttle opening.
Plan overtaking moves well in advance so that you dont have to brake
nor accelerate hard to pass vehicles. Reduce speed by easing off the
throttle rather than by using the brakes. Smoothness is the key, in
acceleration, in braking and in maintaining speed which will deliver
the best mileage.
- Weight: Unnecessary accessories like excessively heavy crash
guards, enveloping guards on scooters, oversize horns all add to the
weight and consequently reduce fuel efficiency. On a 100kg bike even
a 5kg increase will have an adverse effect on fuel consumption.
- Check your tubes pressure every month higher pressure than the
recommended value would give you more mileage but less friction and
stability. So keep it to the optimum value.
- Change the engine oil according to your manufacturers
recommendations.
- Cleanliness: Any leaks will be immediately noticeable on a clean
bike and in a roundabout way will have an effect on the fuel
efficiency. Dirt on the chain, in between moving parts etc will
increase drag and consequently lower fuel efficiency.
- Always drive in economy speed (30-50) as per the speedometer.
- Use less cluth and breaks. Do not use the cluth if there is no
need for gear change.
- Do not increase or decrease the speed/accelarator unnecessarily.
I'm following the above points and getting above 70 km/ltr. Hope
it'll help you guys to get the correct mileage. Take Care.

REVIEW : I just bought my 2nd bike which is passion + and to me
it is a very good bike in all respect. The milage is around 60 to me in
good road condition. As this is very new bike so I can't go in depth for
the total performance issue but I feel one problem which is clutch
matter, I am not sure whether it is the adjustable issue or not but now
I had to release at list 75% of clutch in order to run the bike after I
push the first gear. Also one more issue I am not sure about it as when
the bike is off and without push the clutch it shift the gear but what I
know that in order to put the bike in gear you need to push the clutch
first. Anybody have any idea about this gear lock issue without pushing
the clutch.

REVIEW : Looks, comfort, handling, style, design.....I give
100%.
Guys...don't expect too much on mileage from this bike....but, if u
drive with common sense.....unlike speedsters ravaging the traffic, it
gives u a decent 65 km/l (40 to 60 kmph). The only shortfall HHonda made
to Passion+ is no improvement to the contemporary 100cc engine..with its
meagre 7.5 bhp power. A stupid choice made for such an excellent bike.
If this is lifted to 125cc...with 9bhp.....and 55 km/l, there's no flaw
to this bike.

REVIEW : Its stunning. I owned this amazing machine for 2 years
and played too much with its engine, body.....everything. It gives me 90
kms/l. Once i cut down its silencer and put 1 inch (radius) 2 feet
(length)long water pipe, amazingly mileage increased from 90 to 105 km/l
and pick up was amazing. I am fun loving guy and often go to himachal
for fun..sometimes i carry 2 passengers with me and it never break
down..i modified it but only by cutting its parts. I never put any after
market parts on it. I cut its rear mudguard, cut its front visor, remove
front flashors, lower it handle bar, illegal orange number plate with
small size about 3 by 4 inches..

REVIEW : Nice market stunt in 100 CC Segment,Passion Plus with
Bright and several Colors, To catch New buyers ..!!Nice option to
promote Passion plus since Splendor has limited colors only..!!
In Passion / Splendor/ CD products Tail lamp is protected with Luggage
carrier which is not so with Passion Plus.
My Splendor Luggage carrier have saved me more than Rs.1200 since my
luggage carrier protected my Tail lamp during rear collution [Auto''s
and Scooters ] which is not so in Passion Plus..
Herohonda have to Supply Passion Plus without Rear Grip / luggage
holder, and customer can select option of their own as Extra Fittings.
