REVIEW : Hardly twenty days old unicorn, 1st found the handle tight-got it fixed from service center, but now the handle/front wheel sways and handle becomes stuck, The ball bearing of neck is broken I feel. The insulation covering of wiring on handle have been cut short and wires exposed and has similarity with clowns in tamil films having their underwear exposed. Thought HONDA a world class bike but am very much dissatisfied. The front No Plate provided by dealer is hidden behind headlight. HONDA INDIA whats happenning. Your bike site has conked off.

REVIEW : Honda has established a brand. It was great in using Honda Unicorn compared to my splendor. But honda has to deliver good services at show rooms. The JSP honda show room in Anna Nagar chennai sucks for service. No response. I felt very bad. Now a days i approach private show rooms for service.

REVIEW : Hi guys, I am planning to buy a Honda Unicorn here in Mauritius. However, i am now wondering about making a few modifications to mak it suit my needs and reach top performance: First - put larger wheels [e.g. 3.50!!! Is it possible by removing the chain protection case?] Second - Remove the mud guard at the back to make it look sporty Third - Change the color of the stickers and set the bike to a single color with the Honda logo. Fourth - Add orange [repsol like] color to the alloy [or conventional] border of wheels. Fifth - Add a plastic, sporty cover to protect the below of the engine where the exhaust exits the engine and passes below it. A triangular-formed one would look great. I have seen so many beautiful bikes being modified, example the CBX250 twister of Honda [see http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/439828/] Well any comments would be appreciated from you bikers.. :-). Thanks

REVIEW : I have honda unicorn for last two years, i really attracted with the mono soccer. Its making riding very comfortable but its body is very light weighted specially the back portion.its very weak it got broken. The back tyre should be wider according to its 150cc. The head should be bigger according to its fuel tank. You have written that its max speed is 101kms, but crossed 120kms. I suggest that unicorn should be 200 or 250cc.

REVIEW : Dislikes in Unicorn
1)I own unicorn bike, as for as monosuspension it really works good but the front suspension is too bad. whn ever road is not smooth number plate of bike will hit the mudgaurd of front wheel because the front suspention of bike not high enough.
2)Recently the Stickers which are used are very bad to see.(horrible) to see
3)When it comes to Mileage Unicorn gives only 45km if we drive at constant 60Km/hr. If we drive at 120 Km/hr it will give only 18 KM mileage.
4) Horn, which we receive with the bike is totally waste.Even the person standing next to the bike can't hear the sound.
5)weight of the bike is heavy
6)Tank of the bike is very very big.

Good feature in unicorn
1)Monosuspention
2)Height of the bike is really good. For short people its hard.
3)Speed of the bike is comparitively outstanding, when compared with other 150 cc bikes.
4)Since it has monosuspention cleaning of the bike is easy.
5)Grip of the bike good.

REVIEW :
Best feature:
1) Riding comfort: It provide good riding comfort than other competitor, i.e pulser, Achiever etc.
2) Pick up: Very good pick up.
3) Price: It is almost equal or higher than other equivalent model of competitor.
4) Strong body & shock absorber
5)Very good self starter
6) Normal mileage ( 55-58km/Liter)

Poor feature/need to improve:
1) Alloy wheel option is not available.
2) Size of head light reflector is small. Focus of head lamp for visibility is poor to normal. Parking light in head lamp is not available.
3) Option in color is limited.
4) Graphics is not in proper matching with available colors.
5) Design of side stand is very poor; it seems just like of ladies moped side stand. See design from "LML Freedom Topper" with interlock from gear.
6) Pillion (back rider) feels more jerk & shocks as compared to rider. Back shock absorber not soft at soft mode setting. It may be also due to design of seat.
7) Rear size of tyre is 3.00", it must be 3.50" as per weight & width of bike.
8) Length of tail light is more than protecting metal strip so it may brewage when back side is hit by vehicle or wall.
9) There is no provision to hang side bags or box.
10) Gear changing bar is not comfortable & indicator is required for top gear.
11) Gear leaver & right foot rest is not aligned, also in right side rear break & right foot rest is not aligned.
12) Engine stop switch is not available.
13) Looks of odometer is good but daily reading option in odometer is not available.
14) Horn is very weak.
15) Honda UNICORN have very low company fitted accessory, bare minimum necessary item must be fitted from company, i.e. leg guard, both number plates & Buzzer.
16) Unicorn with self start model make a sound (cuttt…) when we off engine.
17) Back mud guard length is less in internal side; it must be at least bottom part of back suspension so mud & dust would not spread surrounding area.
18) Choke lever is hard to move.
19) It is more wide in back side so silencer touches when passing from narrow space.
20) Looks of fuel tank is not beautiful or in good shape

REVIEW : Hi this is sunny from Ludhiana (Punjab) . I want to share my views with you...

1st the sport of back wheel is good but the problem is that there is less space for fitting broad tyre so please increase the space by which we young generation can make our bike more beautiful by using broad tyres.

2nd increase the displacement cc of the bike atleast 200cc that a bike can generate more power.

3rd increase the length of bike upto some extent.
4th make the back portion more sharp and give some thin look from side view. Well i have such keen interest in drawing, designing new models in this biking stream and i have so many designs in my mind and on sheets which can give a new, spontaneous and catching attraction to the viewers.

But due to the experience of one friend of mine who is really having trouble with his Apache, and then I took a test drive of Honda Unicorn and TVS Apache, then i felt the difference between this two bike. Honda Unicorn gives me 60 km/l on Indian roads.

REVIEW : I own a Honda Unicorn since Jan 2005 and I exchanged my 5 year old splendor with this. I was really in a confusion to select a good bike for my daily use which would give me good ride quality, very good performance having no compromise to handsome mileage & and after all what boys like me look in a two wheeler of course we will give priority for the looks of own bike. This priority made my mind to hang on Bajaj Pulsar DTSi. But I heard Honda"s bike is to be launched. At the same time I also enquired about our famous Bullet STD also. But due to the experience of one friend of mine who is really having trouble with his Bullet; I didnt opt for it. At last I went for the Honda. After all my old splendour was also a honda collaboration. So coming to Unicorn I would recommend this bikes power, looks, mileage, Honda"s great engineering magic and the mono suspension which all bikes in India lacks. The complaint I have with this bike is its always shivering front bikini faring and the silencer vibration which I experienced in a long trip. Manufacturers pls note to overcome the complaints.

REVIEW : Unicorn is good example of engineering, smooth, stylish with good average and with low care but i want to tell one thing to the manufacturer of this bike kindly use better parts for it except it"s engine, all the body is of poor quality fibers.Kindly pay attention to it otherwise you loose your goodwill and also improve your service center where they change only engine oil on the name of service.
