E- Sprint is the latest in the row to join the electric two wheelers market of India. Hero Electric, a part of Hero Group of India has launched its electric vehicle E-Sprint on 28th September, 2009. Besides being environment-friendly, the new electric bike from Hero Honda also claims to be affordable. The new E-Sprint is priced at Rs. 37,400.

Promising a top speed of 45 kmph, the recently launched E-Sprint is being considered as a high speed electric vehicle. It comes with a range of 65Km on a single charge. The other features that distinct E-Sprint from other electric two-wheelers include telescopic shockers and hydraulic front disc brakes. This latest launched two wheeler is powered by a BLDC motor with an output of 800 W. The new Hero Honda E-Sprint's BLDC motor takes around 8 hours to charge.

Expected to be a high speed bike amongst all electric vehicles, Hero Honda E-Sprint is sure to create stir in the electric two wheelers market in India. The Hero Honda two wheeler maker seeks VAT exemption from the UP government on the grounds of environment- friendly. E-Sprint will be available in India in a phased manner by 2010.
