To add feathers to its cap, Tata Motors has unveiled a completely new range of premium "World Truck". With this new range of trucks, the largest Indian automobile company by size, Tata Motors plans to introduce new benchmarks in the country in their power, speed, carrying capacity, operating economy and trims. The new range of trucks includes tractor-trailers, mixers, tippers, multi-axle trucks and special application vehicles. Besides the special additional features to these commercial vehicles, World Trucks are touted to be priced at a premium compared to their current range.


The recently introduced range of trucks is the result of collaboration and development of Tata Motors and its two subsidiaries that are the Tata Motors European Technical Centre plc in the UK and Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company in South Korea. Promising to give new dimensions to the world of commercial utility vehicles, these automaker also has plans to introduce this range in international markets in countries like South Africa, South Korea, the Middle East and the SAARC countries.

Variants & Specifications
The new range promises a higher power-to-weight ratio translating into faster turnaround time as well as assures durability and better reliability. It will also result in increase in revenue generation for the transporter. The versatile range is expected to fulfill different requirements of tippers, mixers, cranes for construction and mining, special applications like reefers, bulkers, and tip-trailers, rigid trucks for short distance distribution and tractor-trailers and multi-axle trucks for long distance transportation.

Capacity:
Between 10 tonnes - 75 tonnes Gross Combination Weight (GCW)

Powertrains:
From 150 PS to 560 PS alongwith suitable engines, transmissions and axles. Few added features include automated transmissions and air suspension.

Vehicle Tracking:
Each new truck is available with a standard fitment - Global Positioning System for effective vehicle tracking.

Comfortable Cabin Options:
Air-conditioned cabs are spacious and come in 3 lengths (i.e. day, rest & sleeper), 3 heights (i.e. flat, low-dome & high-dome roof) and in 2 widths.

Safety & Emission
Range complies to stringent safety norms of the respective automobile markets. While considering emissions, these trucks are Euro III and Euro IV complaint, while being Euro V ready.
