Ducati is a motorcycle brand which is famous in the world for high performance bikes. The company manufactures both racing and on road use motorcycles. The Ducati motorcycles are characterized by L-twin, four stroke engine which features desmodromic valve. Still the recent motorcycles from this brand stand unique due to the original trademark desmodromic valves. Unlike other brands, most of the current Ducati models are designed with dry clutch which limits the power loss from oil viscidity. Earlier it uses Steel Frame but now is being replaced with carbon fiber frame. The modern models are again designed with toothed belt to energize the engine’s valve.

The evolution of Indian motorcycle segment is impressive and attracts global players to launch there models in the country. Seeing the potential of high end luxury bikes in India, Ducati Motor Holding introduced its premium range of bikes I the country. Five ranges of bike with different variants are available in India – Ducati Monster series, Hypermotard, Multistrada, Streetfighter and Ducati Superbike. In day to come, the company is eyeing to launch more of its models in India.
