Hyosung

Hyosung Motors was established in 1978 as a part of Hyosung Group of industries. It began the production of motorcycles based on designs of the Suzuki Company. It turned out to be one of the biggest brands in Korea right after its birth.

The average annual production of the Company crossed 200 000 units since its agreement with Japan’s Suzuki Motors. The Hyosung brand is also famous as the supplier of motorcycles to the Asian Games and the Olympics in the years 1986 and 1988 respectively.

Till 2003, the company remained its original sole corporate entity after being rechristened Hyosung Motors and Machinery Inc. However, of late, the Hyosung Motors have been merged with one of the biggest Korean giants, S&T Machinery. The company has been rechristened all over again but the main brand still remains Hyosung Motors.

Hyosung has come a long way from its Korean days. It has now expanded to many large cities in all corners of the world. It has centers and offices at China, Europe, America, Australia and Brazil. The company is constantly involved in expansion and is committed to the task of producing quality motorcycles from its stable. In India, Garware Motors has launched GT650, GT650R and ST7 in collaboration with Hysoung.
