certain documents in your vehicle at all times.

If the driving license has been impounded (confiscated) or submitted to the authorities, the receipt to this effect must be carried (in original) in lieu of the license. The authorities empowered to demand vehicle documents for inspection are: - any police officer in uniform - an officer of the Motor Vehicles Department (RTO)
